If you're craving authentic Yemeni cuisine, Sanaa is a hidden gem in East Dearborn that delivers big on flavor and hospitality. The food is incredibly delicious, from the fall-off-the-bone haneeth to the rich, bubbling fahsah served with freshly baked bread, every bite was full of warmth and tradition. The restaurant recently added private seating areas, which made the experience even more comfortable and peaceful. My mom even said it was the best Yemeni food she’s had in a long time, and that says a lot! The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the overall vibe feels like home. Highly recommend stopping by for a meal that’s both satisfying and memorable.

This restuarant is excellent. The food is amazing and the service is friendly and prompt. There is parking behind the restaurant. I had the lamb haneeth. I've never had lamb as good as this and I've lived in the Middle East for a few years. The soup is also very tasty. The interior is nicely decorated with photos of Sanaa. I hope to eat Yemeni food in Yemen some day! God bless you and your restaurant. I cant wait to come back to Dearborn and visit your restaurant again, Inshallah.

Dude, this was the kind of food that I totally wanted without knowing that I wanted it. The lamb whatever the heck it is that I got, the lamb soup... Mannnnn So good.. The Lamb was melt in your mouth and had a little bit of juice on the lamb and basmati. "You likea the juice!?" I mean and also there was enough portion for me to eat like half of it and take the rest home, and I eat like a horse. I for sure am going back for this.

I've been going to this place for a very long time and I'm always impressed with the quality of their food and customer service. Please, please and please ignore the negative reviews especially from Yemeni customers/names as it's been proven that the majority of them know nothing but whining about everything. I'm a Yemeni myself and as much as i hate to say this, i sometimes wish i was from somewhere else just because i don't want those ignorant people to represent me or my country.

Anyway, what makes the food so good is the time th they spend to make. Yes, it can be annoying to sit and wait for a long time but that's the point of how fresh food are made. You don't want them to deliver it or serve it within 5-10 minutes so you don't open your mouth to complain about how it tastes. Our traditional yemeni food are generally heavy and take time to make, but if you going to complain about it, go to McDonald's or taco bell and enjoy their less-than-5 minutes-to-make food . Give this restaurant a call before you come then place your order so you can have it on time as soon you arrive. Long story short, the longer it takes to prep any food, the better. Ask your mom!

Second, their front desk lady is great and does her best. But those who mentioned that she's rude or have bad attitude, well that's maybe because you did something dumb or thought it was funny so she had to act as such. I've been observing her and the way she communicates with everyone and always polite and respectful to those who are polite or have self-respect.

Keep up the great work guys and for the new customers, please give this...

It was my 3 time there and food is amazing, no complain. However, the service was terrible. We gave 3 kids with us and one of them ordered hamburgers- nobody told us they are out of meat and she was waiting forever. All the people, who came AFTER us, got their food BEFORE us without any explanation. For every single order, including water, we have to go to the counter. This ignores was so rude and not cool. Every time the waitress was bringing bread to us, she was holding it with a BARE hand, while all other local customers got bread wrapped in a paper, she didn't touch their bread with bare hands. In the end, we couldn't get a bill cos she was totally ignoring us and chatting with another Arabic customer. I wonder: is that because we are white and none Muslim? No other customers(all of them were Muslim males) got such a bad and disrespectful treatment. Very disappointed to see...

The restaurant isn’t clean, and we got fake shawarma. They provide water so you need to buy it. But the worst thing is when come to pay , they collect tips without your knowledge , and they give a bill for total including tip . If you don’t pay attention because you trusted them you will give tip twice. This is what happened to me , the total was 73.62 and they charged me 80.98, and I paid them $85. And body told me that they already add tip when I told them to add tip . This is the first time I see business charge more money as a tip without customer agreement . Plus I was trying to order some chicken with rice for a 3 years kid , they said they have only whole or half of chicken no less than that . Some 3 years baby have to pay for half of chicken. Dearborn MI is another world it s really different than...
