Blackies Bar — Restaurant in DeBary

For the most part this was the best place that I hung out during my stay in the Deltona, DeBary, and Orange City area. There's karaoke, which is relatively annoying but it's a fact of life so I don't hold it against the place. Weekends are crowded and I really enjoyed a couple of the bartenders there. You can smoke in the bar but food is not available. Relatively clean place compared to several other places I visited while I was in the area and they do have an internet jukebox, although just like many places in this area they have blacked out certain types of music, probably for fear they might cause...

I have been to this establishment many times over the years.. and I never really had a complaint until this last visit.. it's rather disturbing when the owner of the establishment gets drunk and then she confuses me for somebody else and yells at me. I had brought two friends with me on this particular occasion that had never been there before. I was embarrassed and slightly agitated by the way I was treated, and my friends felt very uncomfortable as they later confided. It's a bar. Most bars aren't fancy. But it's clean and nice and the bartenders are the best. Rosanna, Elizabeth, and Michelle (I apologize ladies for any misspelling) are awesome. There are other bartenders but I have not had a chance to meet them yet. Quiet neighborhood bar that has become an absolute favorite. No real food to speak of although they do offer some snacks, like chips. I don't go here to eat so I don't care whether they have food.
