Let me start by saying this, there were only 2 employees in the front of house which was the blonde bartender and what I'm assuming was the manager (she didn't look like a server and wore a purple polo instead of the black shirts so that's why I assume manager). The bartender greeted us warmly when we first walked in and told us to give her just a minute. It was completely fine, as it was obvious her section of tables was full and she was by herself. When she had a moment, she sat us on the left side towards the back near the kitchen door and said our server would be with us in a minute. There was an older couple two booths in front of us that was looking around and a couple of dirty tables to next to us (important for the story). We looked over the menu a few minutes and waited for a greeting from well anyone, and the older couple is actively looking around as well. The presumed manager is walking around grabbing one thing at a time from the dirty tables and does not acknowledge the older couple or us. We are at 8 minutes now, still no greeting/no drinks or hey we are short-handed, I'll be with you in moment quick greeting. The presumed manager walks by for a third time still does not acknowledge us (actually looked at us then quickly looked away) and the older couple asks her while she is picking up another dirty dish from the table if she could find someone to bring them a box and their check. She goes and gets a box and tells the gentleman that to pay, he has to use the mini kiosk at the table. He responds with he didn't know, and she pulls it up for him. She walks back by us and still no acknowledgment or a "has someone greeted yall or took your drink order yet" greeting. We are now at 12 minutes. At the 14-minute mark, the bartender seats a couple next to us at the only clean table left in the section. The presumed manager walks by once again at the 17-minute mark and doesn't acknowledge the table that was sat a few minutes earlier either and just picks up another dirty dish and comes right back past us. We tell the table next to us good luck and leave. I have a collective 12 years of being a server under my belt at different big franchise restaurants. There are certain rules you follow as a server and as a manager. If you are a server and are understaffed, then you quickly greet tables to let them know they are seen and will be served momentarily. If you are a manager and see tables have not been greeted, then you stop by with a smile ask if they have been greeted, and if they have not, then you get their drink orders. Waiting 17 minutes to be greeted is not acceptable, especially if there are only two booths sat on your side of the restaurant. It was obvious the bartender was trucking and making sure her area was took care of, so kudos to her! If lady in a purple polo was a manager, then she needs to be fired or retrained, because picking up one little dirty dish at a time does not support the staff and not acknowledging tables you are walking by that still have menus is definitely not okay. You get a bus tub and a rag, get all the dishes at once, and wipe off the table. It takes less than a minute per table, then you check on guests. If I had to guess, then she walked by us a total of 5 or 6 times if not more. While we were waiting in the front, I never saw her assist on the bartenders side either. Obviously I couldn't see what was going on in the back of house, but I do know she was taking her time walking back and forth with no hurry and definitely not at a server's speed so I can't imagine she was helping back there either. Something can always be done better, but that was piss poor service. We went to Logans instead and what do you know we were greeted in 3 minutes and visited by the manager while eating to make sure everything tasted good. I know everyone has a bad day, but there's no excuse for that situation when there were too many ways that it could have been better. Next time, I think we will ask to sit in the bartenders section and make sure she gets a fat tip for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs much would expect, yes it is Chilis, the food is basically the same at all of them, we all go for the deals , and some go for the drinks, this place does usually bring it out fresh though so that is a plus. That being said the servers are great, I have not had a bad experience at this place and we go like once every few months because this is one of her favorite sit down eateries. Now here is where they get a 4 overall and 3 on service, where as waiters are awesome, I swear to God if you ever do a pick up order it is awful. I have tried this like 5 times in the last year, it was not it, most of the time the food was still fine but one time everything was so sloppily put in the bag that ranch and sauce was everywhere, but I digress because I didn't 100% mind cleaning it up, but if I didn't have so many issues with their to-go orders, I wouldn't have even brought it up. Now I have worked in food so I am not that guy that orders in the parking lot and gets mad it isn't ready. I give them like 30-50 minutes to make my food, the problem is not the time it takes to make it but the time it takes to get it. Every time I go my food is sitting gloriously there waiting for me, and whoever is working to go literally just isn't there or they forgot some stuff or I get skipped. Last time I went I waited 15 minutes because I am patient, 3 or 4 people came in after me with one woman waiting ahead of me at the counter. Tell me how the girl at the counter is gonna say "can I help you" to the guy after me and then everyone else behind him with them commenting to me when she goes to get things of theirs they forgot that they are all confused why I got skipped, yeah me too, as someone who worked in food I get it whatever maybe you just really don't see me in front of you like my name is John Cena or something, but that attitude though, that killed me, like this girl gonna get an attitude when I say I had drinks, like it's inconvenient, then my drinks were basically all soda water to top it off, like no girl that is not cool. It was someone I had never seen at this specific eatery but nah I am good on that one. Regardless, this place is pretty chill, but beware the TO-GO line, that thing don't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have never eaten at Chili's before in my life I wish I would have kept it that way ... I shudda left the minute I sat down ... The cleanliness of this particular establishment was a 3 at best the booth we were seated in was very sticky I just do not know from what ... Our server was very nice and after a peek at the menu I settled on a full rack of ribs in dry rub with French fries and white cheddar Mac n cheese after a few moments our server informed me that they were all out of dry rub and I opted on wet BBQ ribs (this is where things went down hill) as my plate arrived I tasted my fries from the initial bite i knew that the fries had been sitting for some time ... disappointed with the old tasting fries I proceeded to try my Mac n cheese ... now don't get me wrong this mac n cheese lacked nothing in the cheese or the creamy department but the noodles were so over cooked that I felt I was eating a porage ... I moved on to my ribs which were poorly presented at best ... they had the color of microwaved chicken and the sauce looked as if it had been slopped on with a dirty mop ... I cut into my ribs to find the center of my ribs cold to the touch and not cold like they had been under a heat lamp cold but straight out the refrigerator cold ... I immediately contacted our server and she got the manager ... the manager was very nice even though i was irrate with my meal and speaking very harshly about my dissatisfaction she handled herself very professionally (I wish I would have gotten her name) she reassured me how sorry she was about the food and offered to replace my order with another meal of which I declined all I wanted her to do was remove the meal from my bill which she did ... I would think that there would be some sort of quality control from the cooking staff to ensure that the food is at proper temperature ... Such a disappointment growing up because I always wanted š· my...
