Decatur Headwest Subs — Restaurant in Decatur

Seem to always get my online take out order wrong. I get a chef salad with toppings and one or more toppings are always missing. I'm talking 3+ times this has happened. I have gone back before when the meat on my chef was missing. Other times I just eat it (reluctantly) so I can get back to work because I have no time to go back. This is an 8-9 dollar salad that's usually not what I ordered....I guess I could stand in the check out line and open the takeout bag and box scope my salad out carefully before leaving. Just really wish this wasn't the case. When I did go back and have them correct my order it was very, very good. I love their turkey, especially. I think this is why I keep trying!!!! Love the vibe there and everything. Just wish my order would be correct...

We ordered online and one of our coworkers went to pick up. When she got there, she was told that they were just starting to make our order (half hr later), then they proceeded to make 5 or six sandwiches ahead of ours while she stood there waiting. When she finally went back up (after being there 20 minutes, bringing us to an hr after we ordered) they were finally finishing our food. The salad came out with no dressing, the lettuce was wilty and it was just a disappointing experience. If it is going to take an hr (instead of the 30 min website quoted) to make 2 subs and a salad then they should state that online. I will never go back there!!! ...

The sandwiches are delicious but gigantic. Get a half sub if you are not on the verge of starvation or you don't plan on hibernating for the next 36 hours. I got the full sub and there was more meat on it than my last 6 Subway sandwiches combined.

Kudos to them for not being stingy with the meat. They can cool it on the mayo, I mean you don't have to be like Jimmie John's and lather every bit of the sandwich in that stuff.

Soda machine is a bit tricky to operate for anyone with an advanced college degree, at least my colleague had trouble...
