If you are a runner, you should visit this store.
I'm a marathon runner, and I was cautious about the shoe selection and staff direction. I was blown away by the quality of both.
I was extremely clear about my intentions to find another pair of training shoes now that my previous had reached their mile limit. Even though it was 20 minutes until closing, Jen, the staff member who helped me, stayed late with another staff member and found many pairs of shoes she had experience with that would be good for daily use.
There was a huge selection of shoes, socks and accessories that are helpful for runners - long runs too (e.g. running water bottles).
I was given helpful details on the types of shoes available and what their best uses were. She was patient and let me try on every shoe more than once. Jen also gave me invaluable running tips and resources I could take away, on top of finding two pairs of fantastic shoes - both of which are brands I never thought I would try, but ended up fitting extremely well.
I ran my first run in the shoes this morning - my third best 10k of all time. Listen to Jen. Go to Fleet Feet. Find some darn good shoes.

Read moreThe whole experience was just unlike anything else. It was so personal and the technology used to try and determine what was the best shoe for my feet. I did not feel pressured to buy something unnecessary and the only products shown were what I had asked about and what would benefit the health of my feet. I have wickedly bad feet, missing toes, heal spur, neuropathy and plantar fasciitis. I average around 20,000 steps per day on hard concrete floors so having the right shoe means everything now. And when people look at the price, you have too ask yourself, "How important are my feet? How long do I plan on keeping them and how important is it that they're not a hindrance?" After all these foot problems that I have, I don't think there's any amount of money I would not spend on high quality footwear and luckily Decatur has a place where you can come get it. Great, attentive staff that listens and does not...
Read moreI needed to buy a larger pair of shoes because of a fracture around my ankle. The swelling was immense. I thought I would be prioritizing a shoe with a lot of cushioning. The sales person had recently recovered from a similar problem that was much worse than mine. She knew that stability was more important. I bought a shoe with a wider base. It is a Hoka. The Brooks shoe with extra cushioning was very comfortable, and if my ankle ever returns to normal size, I'll consider buying it. I was thankful for the experienced sales people you have working at FF in Decatur. The store is fantastic. It's hard to walk out without buying the things that you'd really like to have but don't really need. There are a lot of fantastic things...
