I came her last night around 9pm with my boyfriend and his friend. We wanted to get some drinks and food. Upon arrival at the hostess stand, the hostess greeted me confused and asked me if I was with “them” pointing at my boyfriend and his friend. We thought it was weird so we decided to sit at the bar. There was an older blonde woman in her 50’s working the bar. She looked very tired and frustrated at our arrival as if she didn’t want us there. When she finally came to take our order she avoided eye contact. I was the first to order a unsweet iced tea with lemon and a lime margarita. She made me repeat my order several times as she claimed she could not hear me. The whole table’s drinks came out except for my iced tea. I kindly reminded her and she said she would get to it when she can. We finished our appetizers and I reminded her again as my drinks were done. She went ahead to refill my table’s sodas and ignored my request for tea and began to pour other patrons more beer. At this point other patrons in the bar noticed her hostility and started asking for her to bring me a iced tea as it was the first thing ordered and kind of ridiculous to not be able to pour a fountain drink. She then said that it’s graduation and that she’s preparing for tables to arrive- 20 minutes before closing? I don’t think anyone else is coming but ok. She then shouted across the bar to a server walking by “could somebody please get this girl a sweet tea?!” I am not a young girl I am a grown woman and this was not the drink I ordered. My party asked me to wait in the car as they closed out the tab as they didn’t want me to continue getting disrespected by this older blonde bartender who seemed bothered by my presence. The bar had about 10 white men surrounding it and I was the only woman and the only person of color in the area. The patrons around the bar began to chatter about how hateful the woman was being to the only other woman in the bar. The woman on woman hate of an older woman towards a younger female who happened to be the only female patron at the time made the men in the bar uncomfortable. Another patron began to make comments and speculate about her racism. Her hate towards me made grown white men at the bar uncomfortable. I was told that when the tab came out she tried to charge my party for food we never received and 8 extra drinks. We asked for the manager who gave us the correct bar tab but did not apologize about anything. We will be reaching out to corporate because this type of behavior from a bartender whose job is to serve others was completely unacceptable and the woman manager who was called for did not know how to properly handle the situation at all. Our bartender never once smiled at us or welcoming at all. If you don’t want to go to work you shouldn’t show up at all. You should not mistreat paying customers for whatever miserable life you’re experiencing at home. She should consider a job where she doesn’t have to speak to people then because she does not have what it takes to work a...
Read moreWe have not been for a while and some in our party had never been. We'd told them everything about the peanuts, onion petals, yeast rolls, rice pilaf, mashed potatoes, baby back ribs, steaks, and the desserts in the little buckets, and everyone was excited. :-) Starting off with the obvious: there are no peanuts anymore, no onion petals, or the little bucket desserts. The peanuts I could understand, but their onion petals were one of our favorite things. Their rice pilaf was different. Two in our party who used to love it ordered it, but after they took one bite, never touched it again. The yeast rolls and mashed potatoes seemed a little different as well but were still good. The baby back ribs are no longer sold as a rack or half a rack, but as a pound. Our server couldn't tell us how many bones were included in their "Featured Fall-off-the-Bone Ribs" for $25.29. Considering past of that "pound" is the weight of the bones, most of us went with steaks this time. Three ribeyes and a NY strip. All the steaks were seasoned well and tasted great, but there was more fat than marbling in the ribeyes, which was really, really disappointing. At least for us, the two dogs at home thought it was amazing. The strip they said was really good though, as well as the crab cakes and mozzarella sticks. Service was okay but even though I was sitting at the end of the table where the servers and customers come through. I was the only one that NEVER got a drink refill even though my empty glass was sitting on the edge of the table. Since I'm the one that ALWAYS figures up the tip, I'm definitely the wrong person to not take care of! Ican't count the nine of times that my husbands drink had been refilled while my glass is empty. We might be paying with his card but I'm the one figuring the top and signing the receipt. My tipping policy starts at 20% and goes up or down from there depending on the service, or lack thereof. I never blame my server about anything to do with the taste of my food. I only blame them when I see our food sitting in the pass and out server walking past it, or ignoring it. With all the changes, we'll probably be going to Longhorn or Texas Roadhouse...
Read moreUnbelievable! I would like to start by saying the only reason they've been given a star is that it is apparently required to initiate this post. Traveling with our high school sports team we arrived at this location and patiently waited 45 minutes to have our party of 20 to be seated. We had no issue with this, and even offered to split our group in any way to help accommodate their seating and staff. They were not particularly busy. Ultimately seated in a back room where the other tables we were not using had not been cleared, and were not the entire time we were there. Drink orders took 30 minutes. Food orders, just the orders, another 30 minutes. While waiting for our food no drink refills were provided, no complementary rolls, and no pre-meal salads. When the food did begin to arrive 45 minutes later 8 of our 20 meals were missing. This only seemed to cause more confusion with the waitress and the manager, who could not understand how this could happen, but still provided no solution. We asked for our checks, took us 50 more minutes to check out as compiling our tickets was far beyond the aptitude of the server and manager. We all paid our tickets. No apologies were made. No significant discount offered. 8 people left...
