KFC — Restaurant in Decatur

Decided to try again since the restaurant has been recently remodeled and there appeared to be a fair amount of cars going in and out. Wish we hadn't bothered. Ordered the 8 piece family fill up and was told it would be a 20 minute wait because they were out of chicken. Was never asked if I wanted original or crispy and was told at the drive thru window we would get whatever the cook had put down. Not sure how a chicken place stays in business if they are always out of chicken. Ended up waiting 30 minutes for our meal before the manager brought it out and of course it was missing a side so I had to go in. Got home and opened the bucket to discover it was less then half full and that's with the biscuits in it. There is no way the 2 thighs and 6 legs they put in there came from a chicken. They looked like they came from a pigeon at best. The sides were over salty and very watered down. It's really sad kfc has stopped caring about service and good food especially in decatur where there are so many other options for chicken. It's nothing like they advertise on tv. Save yourself a hassle and get some banquet chicken, Pillsbury canned biscuits and some instant potatoes from the store. You'll have a better meal with half the cost in the same amount of time. I was at the drive thru at 9:05 PM Tuesday June 18. I ordered 2 of the 5 piece chicken tenders. I wanted fries...no fries because the fryer was in polish mode. Ok I will have mashed potatoes and cole slaw. I pull up and pay. I was watching through the drive thru window. The older lady dropped one of the boxes with the chicken in it on the floor. The younger girl with the long braided hair (she also had a small bag on a gold chain over her shoulder) picked up the box and she scooped the chicken up with what appeared to be parchment paper and put it in another box. Neither women were wearing gloves. Both women bagged it and brought the meals over to me. I said "Did you just drop that chicken on the floor?" Their response was "We threw the box away" I replied "But not the chicken" They told me to move up and they would fry some more. I waited about 8 minutes. The young girl came through the lobby and got to my rearview mirror and flung the bag at me through my window saying " Here You Go". Had I been looking the other way she would have hit me. This kfc- and I didn’t capitalize it because of the laziness, lies and wackless manners of these workers at beltline Decatur Al location. 2day they offered me the 8 piece for $20 and I didn’t get a receipt because they say that the machine is down. Got home, I received 4thighs and 4 legs. She didn’t specify what the meal was but anytime I get a 8,10 or 12 piece it has all the pieces. If you are going to offer someone a meal thru drive thru tell them what it is. Looked at some reviews and now I see that I got cheated that 8 piece meal for Tuesday only is $10 and that’s chicken only not a meal. She just made a meal up so now I got to reach out to corporate. Another night that I went their with my daughter and she wanted to try the chicken sandwich and the female on drive thru told her that they didn’t have anymore and that she’s going to eat the last one.
