I could not get here to Google fast enough to describe how absolutely awful this was. Ruined our Father's Day evening for sure. We walked in, we were never greeted, ordered our own food off of the kiosk, except my husband, because we had to wait since you can't order your dinner on there . . So.. of course, mine and my sons was out before his.. by the way, it took about 20 minutes for someone to come to our table at all . Next, when we finally were served, no one ever came back again. We had ordered a chocolate lasagna to go when we ordered our meals. After we ate, we waited for hour to go boxes for almost 15 minutes. When he brought them, he forget the one for the dipping sauce, and that took another 10 minutes. We STILL had not received our lasagna. We are at a 47 minute wait at this point for a frozen piece of cake. So we stood up, paid and CONTINUED TO WAIT FOR 25 MINUTES at the entrance to the kitchen . The manager walked out after an hour.. I never saw her once during this whole experience. She told us to wait ( ha ha ) as if we hadn't done enough of that already!!! .. I'll give you a gift card. . but considering we will NEVER go back , it was not necessary. This was probably the worst experience I've had anywhere in a long time. It's not the first time this has happened.. really trying to figure out why I kept trying to give them another chance.. 3rd strike . They're out. Sucks.. because the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am writing this review too tell about my recent experience with a local Decatur il manager. She went above and beyond from a takeout review. I visited the store earlier this week for a take away order and upon arriving (at the specified time) food was not ready- so they offered me a complimentary soft drink while I waited. Good thing to offer on there part, was happy and not at all upset food wasn't ready. I proceed to wait and pay for my order. I had and order just under $40 and paid with a $100 bill. Not even thinking to check my change I left a $5 tip for my to go order for the customer service I received. I got home and inspected my order and receipt to make sure all was there, and at this time counted my change. That's when I realized I was short about $15 from what the receipt said. So I contacted the store view instant review for takeout explained my situation, and worked with a Monica Dani, whom investigated this and offered me resolution. To be truthful I just chalked this up as a loss and was going to move on. Then to my surprise Monica emailed me and offered to send me a gist card to my home to make up for the incident. She did not need to do that and could have simply left me as an unhappy customer instead she made the situation into a favorable one and regained my patrionship to the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Olive Garden in Decatur just doesn't meet standards. The bread sticks are very sally? Not even faintly garlicky. I ordered the Italian version of chicken soup (dumpling) and the dumplings were undercooked there was no spinach and there was grease around the edges of the bowl. I ordered the "Tour of Italy" as my main course. The chicken (parm) wasn't tender and tasted as if it were still frozen. Some of the fettuccini noodles were crispy? The lasagna was halfway decent. My son ordered a "Shirley Temple". The soda was flat and had barley any cherry juice. He ordered the steak w/fettuccine noodles. He ordered it medium rare and it came medium well. His noodles were also "crispy" on the edges. I am not a picky eater but when my check was close to $100 bucks I expected a decent meal. I will never go there again. The waitress was nice and because my son didn't want to feel embarrassed we paid and left As a side note ... I recently had gone to the Kalamazoo MI location and it was fantastic. I ordered the same exact thing (the soup was delightful and the meal was delicious) We had 4 people. The bill was close to the same amount? So, when I got back home I was excited to take my younger son out to eat and the experience was the exact opposite and more...
