As an ex-employee I must say I enjoyed my time at wing stop. The job was easy and the hours were plentiful.
What I did not enjoy was being treated as less than human.
I was expected to come in for a shift with less than 10 hour's notice every day I opened.
I worked there for a year and excelled without being offered a raise.
Once I requested a raise I was fired THE DAY before it was to be instated.
The head manager and many people that work with food don't have required licensing, nor do many of them have the basic training required to make informed decisions about food safety, or safety in general. I had to put out a gas leak fire spewing 5 feet from a pipe with a fire extinguisher because no one knew how to use one, only to get cussed out by the owner for calling the fire department.
The store is FILTHY. There are things that wouldn't have been cleaned and maintained properly had it not been for me and my previous restaurant experience.
Eddie Williams sets a bad example for other business owners by rewarding those that do the least quality work and punishing those who care enough to speak up.
He keeps the head manager in a constant state of fear to control her. This leads to low accountability because she's scared to death to report anything other than a smoothly running store.

Told to me on MONDAY after an order on SATURDAY. I had to initiate each follow up call. Then I was blamed for not dealing with the issue soon enough- according to the manager I should have called when I had the issue. After explaining to her that I did 3 times and was placed on hold for more than 15 minutes each time and when I finally got through I was told the manager would contact me- she proceeded to tell me my name wasnât on her list to call.
It took me explaining that charging customers for items you donât give them is fraud and it would be reported to my credit card as such for her to even agree to let me call her back tomorrow- what a joke.
