Whippy Dip — Restaurant in Decorah

Out of towners who decided to try this place as recommended by Google. I had the tortoise shell small cone which was a neat concept. The vanilla soft serve was filled with caramel and then dipped in chocolate with pecans sprinkled on it. So cool! However, after eating the outer coating, the soft serve ice cream lacked flavor. Yes, I waited to see if it was because the coating might have overshadowed the flavor, but no. The ice cream itself is not creamy, nor sweet. Staff was great with a sweet girl who executed the request expertly. I just would not return as the Sugar bowl has real ice I've also had creamier soft-serve elsewhere. But I quit good NG to Dairy Queen when it only had low fat ice cream and I think this...

Enjoyed our ice cream, they have lots of flavors. Staff was friendly. Sizes we're fine for the price but not as great as other places. Overall, would eat here again if someone else wanted to come but I wouldn't choose it myself due to the pricing. It's about $5 for a small (green cup) tornado, my candy pieces were very few other than the very top so it was mostly vanilla ice cream. The cones are a better deal. Warning for large families: only tables to eat at are outside in the back parking lot. Lots of bees and bird poop, which I know they can't help but it's just good to know what to expect. 3.5/5...

Delicious! Out of town and stopped here in the middle of exploring the parks around Decorah. This is little walk up food/ice cream stand- DELICIOUS! We got the walking tacos and the hot dog (they ask what you want on both) and both were really good! Also got root beer float and a cherry dipped cone with chocolate ice cream that didn't last long enough for pictures. Cheap and quick service too! Got everything before we even stepped away...
