Brickhouse Cafe — Restaurant in Dedham

I went there the other day and took my wife for our 2yr anniversary. That was my first time going there and I was very impressed! We got there at 7 without a reservation and it was pretty busy. So we checked in with the hostess and she informed me that it would be roughly around a 20min wait unless we wanted to eat at the bar area. But we chose to wait for a table to open up for us. The bartender took our drink order and then as he returned with our drinks one of the wait staff came up and told us that a table was ready for us. As that was the beginning of how the rest of the evening went for us. It seemed that they were short on staff but the staff that was there were working together to still provide above average service to all that I could see. Amongst all of the hungry patrons during this busy time was the owner of the establishment. He was going from table to table talking and providing laughs. I could see that he values us his patrons as do the rest of the staff. The ambiance was very soothing and the food was to die for like the calf that provided my veal. All in all I will be back to enjoy again. Oh I will agree again though that the kitchen help looked Mexican and couldn't speak English as one reviewer pointed out already but they can still cook some...

I highly recommend making a reservation or doing take-out!!!! I've gone multiple times, and everything (non-mushroom appetizer related) has been 11/10 amazing. The pizzas, particularly the melanzana parmagiana (crispy diced eggplant) are SO good. The eggplant parm is amazing, even for those who think they aren't fans of eggplant. I want to give a special shout-out to Jessica, one of the waitresses, who provided excellent service a few times we dined in! And another extra special shoutout to Joslyn (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) who coordinated our 50-person wedding buffet catering. She was super accommodating, helpful with how much of which things to order, typical guest habits and guidelines, made suggestions on how best to cater to guests with multiple allergies, gave us tips and tricks on how best to keep the food hot, etc. And the food itself was amazing - every single guest, 100%, not an exaggeration, said the food was absolutely...

This is one of the worst place in terms of customer service. On Sunday September 29th at 10:15am My boyfriend and I walked in and was never greeted. The unpleasant hostess finally asked us if we want to sit at a table or counter. We told her table. It took her some time to clean off a table(there were several tables available but not cleaned). We were seated for 15 minutes and no one came to check on us, offered coffee, ask for our order or even let us know that someone will be right with us. While we were sitting waiting, another couple was seated and tended to. Finally we decided to get up and leave. A customer that was seated next to us shook her head in disgust that no one came to us in the 15 minutes we sat there.
