Imagine ordering your food for pickup 30 minutes in advance and then arrive and it’s not ready. First of all, when I got to the restaurant there were people applying blacktop to the lot so there were no cars in the area and could not park in the lot. I had to park a distance away and walk to the inside of the restaurant. There were no customers inside. I’ve ordered from this place many times as of recent, and when I got there it was as if they didn’t expect any customers. I tell them my name and what looks like the manager goes to the kitchen and they start to scurry trying to make the food really quick. I know from the past that usually when the food is ready it is placed on the shelf by the entry door.
The “manager” proceeds to lie to me that the order was ready. I was in a rush and did not have time to wait so I asked him to refund me if they hadn’t started the order (which I know they hadn’t). He REFUSED! He said I had to contact the company that handles the online ordering! I shook my head and said “I placed the order over 30 minutes ago and it’s not ready. I have to go.” He makes up some excuse of when you order it will be ready at the time stated. BUT IT WASN’T!
I guess he didn’t like me being frustrated so he then goes on to say “Don’t come back” because I’m causing problems. I become upset as I have been a customer for quite a few times and would have liked to continue but I was very disappointed and disrespected to the point of no return! How dare you tell a patron to not come back to your business because of an error YOU made?! And then you were not honest about it?!
Given the situation as a “manager” you should have handled it accordingly by first apologizing about the food not being ready at the stated time, secondly, the food was made INCORRECTLY, probably because they were rushing back in the kitchen to get it out, thirdly, you should take accountability that you and your staff were not paying attention to the orders being sent to your business. A simple apology and explanation would have changed everything! Don’t threaten people because of your inability to handle the result of your errors. Avoid this place if you can, it’s a joke. They are always cheerful as are the waitstaff We barely entered our booth when Juan presented us with two baskets of hot chips done to perfection along with salsa. We also requested the hot salsa and he quickly returned with that as well He was mindful of the three children with us and efficiently serve their drinks. We opted for a picture of the frozen margaritas, which never disappoints! My wife and I opted for the street tacos, which are mouthwatering. I got the Carne Asada, and she had the carnitas. The enchiladas and burritos were big hits as well. Our grandkids were delighted with their chicken, finger, kids meals.Juan kept our chip baskets full to the brim and refilled our salsa as well. Leon passed by several times to make sure that everything was up to our satisfaction and inquired about our family. He is a real gentleman. We ended up taking home 4 boxes of leftovers for tomorrow’s lunch! It was interesting that when we left several of us commented that we always leave Leon’s smiling and content. Everyone was flustered, customers were being rude to employees. Employees were very gracious in dealing with unhappy people. The food was great. There was a miscommunication when ordering. We ordered chili cheese appetizer, fajitas, and 2 orders of chimichaugas. I asked for cheese sauce that comes on it to be put on side so it didn't get soggy. They charged me for a whole cheese sauce. Not a big deal. BUT I get home and they forgot the chips, tortillas, and cheese sauce. Can't go without the cheese sauce!!! I had to go back and get it. 30 min round trip. They were very apologetic and thanked me for understanding. I can't speak on restaurant itself as I got carry out. There isn't a spot to check the order though.
