I’m beyond disappointed with this location. I came through the drive-thru around 9:37 a.m. after checking the McDonald’s app to see which items came with Monopoly pieces. I ordered two hashbrowns, a bacon egg & cheese biscuit, and a large caramel frappe all of which the app said should have Monopoly stickers. If they didn’t all I needed was a POLITE “you can receive those gameplays on those food items from ordering online” that was not given.
When I got my food, the sticker was missing from my sandwich, even though the app clearly showed it was supposed to be there. I didn’t even mind that much at first, I just wanted to ask about it and understand what was going on under my understanding food items that have stickers on the app are the same ones as drive-thru. Now I know differently.
But what happened next was absolutely unacceptable. They told me to pull forward for my coffee, so I did. I sat there until 10:00 a.m.(over 20 minutes) waiting for my drink. I saw someone pass by me and tried to ask about the Monopoly piece and my order, one of the older employees completely ignored me and instead tried to hand me food that wasn’t mine. When I politely said “excuse me,” she looked right at me, took the food to the correct car, said “I’m sorry” with wide eyes and a big attitude, then just walked away instead of coming back to help me.
A younger employee (probably around 16 or 17) finally brought out my frappe at 9:58 and was actually polite and respectful. She listened when I asked about the missing Monopoly pieces and went to check and ask about them, so I truly want to commend her for her kindness and effort.
Then the same older woman came back out and rudely told me that I wouldn’t be getting the two Monopoly pieces because they’re “only received through online ordering.” First off, that’s not even stated clearly in the rules, and second, her attitude was completely out of line. When I calmly told her “okay and that ignoring a customer after making direct eye contact and saying something is rude”, she snapped back with, “I’m already doing multiple things at once.”
When I mentioned that she had looked right at me more than once and even responded earlier, she got snippy again and said, “You’re not going to tell me how to do my job.” She even started to say something else before cutting herself off then finally went and got me the Monopoly pieces anyway.
At that point, it wasn’t even about the Monopoly pieces anymore. It was about the complete lack of professionalism and respect. If you can’t communicate kindly or treat customers with basic decency, you shouldn’t be working in the food industry. I genuinely feel bad for her coworkers who have to deal with that kind of attitude.
This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had at any McDonald’s. The young girl deserves praise for trying to help, but the older employee needs serious retraining, or a reminder that basic respect goes a long way. At the end of the day it’s a game and if you can’t respect your customers during that game you shouldn’t be able to be there in the first place. Something that was suppose to be fun made me not return back to that new location. ...
Read moreAlways backed up around the opposite side of the building, always slow, order is usually missing items, the staff doesn't listen. An elderly employee was complaining that she was doing the job of three people and apologizing for the long wait (It made me sad for her to have to even be a Mc Donald's employee at her age, she should be retired and not struggling). You'd expect more than one staff member to be wearing a headset for drive-thru orders, and it seems even then nobody hears the orders. Usually only one window operating and on the occasion two are in use window one trends to forget the receipt or their printer is out of paper, then something is wrong with the order and window two wants to argue about the receipt and try to charge you again. The tall manager ( at least I think he's supposed to be a manager) is very rude and doesn't seem to know the proper way to speak with customers. Have had to speak to him several times and his response is usually "that's how it is" or "new policy, started yesterday", both of which are not true based on interactions with another manager from same location. If you are in the area and really want McDonald's, go to a...
Read moreIf you have to go to this McDonald's drive thru during this pandemic then note the following. You should choose the outside lane because from my experience they are taking 2 or 3 orders on the outside lane to every 1 on the inside lane. Seems to be to be a way to increase their sales as once you are in that inside lane and there are people in the outside lane you are pinned in and cannot leave. I sat with the window down listening and watching the guy in front of me (who saw me in his mirror and was visibly frustrated) trying to order while no one acknowledged him and three cars ordered in the outside lane. So when I got my order I checked it and asked to speak to the manager. I voiced my concerns. She then preceded to lie to me and said it was the customers fault. I told her my story and what I saw in front of me. But you hear that? If the line is not moving its all the customers fault. My daughter asked for McDonald's this morning and after that experience from now on it will be Wendy's, Burger...
