They have very fair prices for both food and wine, and if you dive into the specials, you will get to experience some amazing cheese and wine, as well as some very well-balanced wine to go with them.
For my personal review, keep in mind, we visited during Corn Fest, when they were dealing with a lot of people coming in for the $5 sangria and 5 wine tasting for $5. We came in, and were greeted kindly, and sat at the bar, for the 5 wine tasting for $5. There was a gentleman who acted as our server, but I suspect to be the owner, who was extremely knowledgeable about each wine he was serving. The 1st wine he served, a Portuguese unripened white wine, was absolutely delightful, the 2nd, which was another white, was quite tannic, and may be very nice with the cheese and meat, but didn't connect. A 3rd, which was a delightful Pinot Noir, from a warm climate, but was pleasant, and then a 4th, which was a Cabernet. The 4th and 5th options were made by a different server. It might have been my fault, acting dismissive of his explanation of the 3rd wine, but I felt he took it very personally. I would absolutely advice anyone coming to DeKalb for a nice dinner, which won't make them feel bloated, to go to...
Read moreI ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! And that was my opinion only after the drinks!! I cannot wait to come back for the food! This is such a great new place in town. My aunt and I both had the whiskey sours on the menu and we LOVED them. I am a whiskey sour connoisseur if I do say so myself and I was very pleased with theirs. My mom had the special wine which was a pecorino wine. It was a really light, dry wine from a vineyard in Italy. I also love wine and this place has a great menu which I have included. The atmosphere was great too, it's a quaint little place great for date nights or even maybe booking it for a party. Service was great and the owner was super helpful with drink recommendations. We just stopped in for drinks before dinner but we will certainly be back for several of their charcuterie boards. I'll update my review then to include those. In the meantime DeKalb residents and beyond, you NEED to check this place out. The more amazing places we have in...
Read moreGreat and unique addition to DeKalb! Tom and family are doing such a nice job filling a niche so needed in the DeKalb dining and entertainment scene. Hit up Class VI for a pre-dinner or pre-show glass of wine or cocktails (and charcuterie), and then come back for a nightcap. Or...just a place to meet up with friends. Their charcuterie boards are really unique with combinations of nuts, cheeses, meats and fish that are now-'n-then changed up to make them better and better. There are even gluten-free crackers available for those who need that option. The wines are labels and varieties that you're not going to find just anywhere, and Tom has done a nice job with procuring an eclectic rack that is so fun to peruse-- and buy from. His retail pricing is very reasonable, BTW. Highly...
