Denny's — Restaurant in Delano

My husband and I stop for some breakfast at your Delano location. When we first got there I was impressed with the serve Leslie gave us. I even joke with her at one point. I ordered a Lumber Jack meal and my husband country Fried Steak meal. I got my meal and my toast was a warm bread with butter. I asked Leslie if I could get my bread toasted because it was not toasted plz. I then hear her ask the cook to toast it some more. Cook as if I wanted burnt and they all started to laugh, Leslie said yes more toast I guess.They continue to laugh. I wasn’t going to say anything but the second time they all started to laugh. I got up and said forget about the toast since you guys don’t k ow what toast is. Manger came out and my husband ask if he knew what toast is? He said yes and looked and my toasted and said it was dark. I then said I ask for toasted not burnt. I was not happy at this point and I told him the ruin my appetite and that I was not going to pay for my meal. Manager never apologized and yes my husband was done with his meal but he paid for his. I didn’t it but part of my meal because I was waiting on my toast. I have been eating at Dennys for many years never have I been treated the way I was treated at this location!!! I have lost of friend and family in Delano I will make sure I let them know how I was treated at this location. Next time I will go to the cafe in front of your location now I know why they were much busier then...

We decided to eat out and not cooked just to relax, I love Dennys in delano! Omg night manager a young lady she is! A lot of tables clean and open , she decided to put us in the back with 4 small kids 6 adults in front of us 2 feet away, 3 kids behind our table with 3 adults and another 3 kids in front of our table with 2 adults , very close where the manager sat us, of course they are kids , they cry , yells, run around and playing with their tablets loud. I have children too but it’s about Managers decision where to sit 2 senior citizen! We rushed and paid but I asked the manager to why she sat us where the crowd was, her reply was that it was their policy because of short server and no clean table , lied because when we walked in , the back was the only place that was occupied , the rest were empty. No apologies but said we should have asked our server , Inexperienced manager! Then my food came burnt, server said that’s how it is oh wowwww! Corporate...

As always, a great environment, very clean and my Sirlion steak dinner was cooked to perfection. Want to personally thank Shelly Lee (Mngr) for being a true leader and asset to this fine establishment by always ensuring the customers are well taken care of and constantly promoting the Denny's brand in the highest regard on any and all occassions. Also, a special thanks to my hostesses Cierra and Vanessa for their helpfullness and vast knowledge of the menu. And lastly, I would like to thank my server Jose', who is very personable and customer service orientated. He is always a pleasure to see with his positive attitude, unique energy, and his sincere friendliness to all people whom he comes into contact with.
