New China Restaurant — Restaurant in Delano

So this was a pleasant surprise! I ordered the almond chicken, beef fried rice no onions and pork fried rice no onions. It was all excellent. The almond chicken was so juicy and flavorful. The fried rices were also very flavorful and yummy! We ordered it to go simply because we have kids and would rather eat at home for convenience. But my husband picked up the food and said that the restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly, even on a busy rainy Sunday evening. We live in a nearby town and have been hoping to find REALLY GOOD Chinese food without having to drive all the way to Bakersfield. Well, this food was the best Chinese I’ve had since I moved to the Valley a few years back! I’ll be going back to New China Restaurant...

So called " Beef Curry" isnt authentic. In my understanding, Beef Curry dish consist of Beef and Curry... but this "Beef Curry" that they serve has lots of bell peppers and onions. When the cashier asked me "what do you expect of beef curry?" I said some beef and curry.. plain and simple. She looked at me like i dont know what Curry is. Not coming here again. THIS "BEEF CURRY" of yours New China should be authentic as its name. Not a happy customer. Also the cashier a women should be nicer next time. On a search for good Chinese food I was directed to go to this spot, and it was an excellent recommendation. The people were friendly and welcoming and quick to serve. The owner’s son was such a nice guy and the woman who waited our table was equally as nice.

The food!!!! It was great!!!

My wife and I got the triple kung pao with chicken, shrimp, and scallops. This is where I realized they knew what they were doing. The shrimp and scallops were perfectly cooked. So many do it wrong, where you can bounce either like you’re playing jacks, but these were not so. Everything was great but that made it official.

Anyway… go there…...
