When I post a comment it's mainly because I have had dinner, then breakfast the next morning ... Experiencing different shifts with different staff before making any kind of comment from my experience as a customer... There is a pub/casino onsite ( didn't go there, can't comment )... But store and restaurant I did visit... Store; clean, well stocked and employees polite and helpful... Restaurant; dinner was ok...a small problem which was handled very well with the manager who was very quick to correct the issue and make my dining experience better... I really liked her professional matter to correct my issue...waitresses were polite and helpful... Breakfast was excellent...food exactly how I ordered which was a special request ... I definitely want to say that this place is awesome, I will be back and I will tell others about this place to visit as well... That post was a year ago... Today..Dec. 18, 2020... Last time I stop to eat at this Marlin's... Stood at doorway waiting to be seated for 5 mins... 2 waitresses, and a manager saw me standing waiting to be seated and did not approach me... Unclean and unsanitized tables while waitresses stand and chat at counter in sight of people waiting in doorway for a seat... Never again will I spend a penny in this Marlin's... The convenience store is awesome, staff is great and polite...but will not even leave a penny in the floor...
Read moreMarlins has always been a fantastic place to eat. Today was absolutely a nightmare. Took 15 minutes to even be acknowledged. While I was standing there waiting to be noticed one of the servers went to the kitchen and began flailing her arms around cursing real loud and was angry over something. She then got into a short altercation with the other server. The older gentleman in front of me waited 15 minutes for the girls to acknowledge him before one finally asked him what he needed. He only wanted a cinnamon roll. 15 minutes for that. I finally got seated next to a group of men who were sitting in their booth complaining about how the server hasn’t come to fill their coffee or deliver their food. They had been there an hour according to one guy. Turns out the server forgot to turn in their order. After 30 minutes my food finally arrived. Biscuits and gravy were cold, the eggs and hash browns also cold. I got one refill on coffee and was ignored after that. Regardless of you are short staffed, you still have a job to do and do it professionally. These servers need to be retrained. It will be a while before...
Read moreTiny and I can’t speak to the experience of others, but my food and entire experience was horrible. I’d specifically asked for eggs a certain way (poached because it was Eggs Benedict, for crying out loud, and shouldn’t have been asked), but the server insisted that I didn’t know what I was talking about, even after I told her I had to insist on having them made the way I wanted — poached. She brought literal raw eggs to the table after I told her that I didn’t want eggs over easy (which is what she insisted I meant). 🤮 I can’t speak to the beverages, because I didn’t get to order one because the server was fixated on convincing me that there is no such thing as poaching an egg, I’m mental and am really talking about over easy eggs.
Warning: Marlin’s over easy eggs are RAW, and their cooks are apparently as dumb as their servers are.
This place now holds the record for the shortest time I’ve spent in a restaurant and the lowest tip I’ve ever left. Congratulations, Marlin’s.
Avoid this place; go to Fryn’ Pan or literally anywhere...
