Genoa Pizza Delavan — Restaurant in Delavan

Now I'm not one to complain. But being this took $40 bucks out of my pocket I want to say something in hopes someone else won't make the same mistake.

Called wanting to place a delivery for two 10 piece chicken strip BASKETS. Assuming that all their baskets came with fries, like any other normal restaurant in the area. Got told they didn't do that anymore, that the highest they went was 8 pieces. That part didn't bother me. It was when the food arrived and it was just chicken. No fries. The funny part is I ordered cheese sauce for fries. One would assume that if that's ordered the customer is assuming there is fries, therefore you should double check when taking the order.

One would assume that when taking an order you would ask if the customer wanted fries included. Especially since their original order couldn't be fulfilled as advertised in their menu.

When I called and complained, I immediately got told that fries are not included in a 10 piece basket. I double checked the menu and it does say that. In small red print that blends in with the menu.

Immediately I was offered a credit refund...But only a dollar for the sauces that they left out of the order. I got a fake apology for the misleading menu and the lady i spoke with couldn't even bother to acknowledge the fact that she didn't clarify their policy on fries. Nor did she explain why my order went without fries being its not even a 10 piece.

Im very disappointed, and will not be ordering from this place again. There ARE better places in town that actually care about the order being made that I'll gladly recommend first before...

Me and my boyfriend love ordering pizza and just relaxing together on nights that we can, and we have orders Genoas delivery on multiple occasions. Usually it would be later in the afternoon, and we have had nothing but problems when we do order. Either something we ordered doesn't taste right , or it was not what we had wanted at all. I spent 40$ on a meal I didn't take two bites out of, and when I called and finally complained and asked for my money back for that order and I would not be ordering from there again the girl who took my order said the manager would give me a call the next day. It is the next day. Didn't receive a call yet so decided to call and the manager answered I told him I was waiting for a call from a complaint I made the previous night and that the food did not taste right and he said he was gunna taste and check the date on it , while he was doing that. I was just informing him I wouldn't be ordering from there again and all of a sudden, the call ended. So I had my boyfriend call him and sort it out , the manager told him I was rude and didn't like the way I was talking to him but then , later said he was talking and no one responded to what he said . Let’s talk about this 20$ pizza. This is the ultimate original sin pizza. When I first opened the box I was mad because the pizza was so small…the size of one of those 1.75 pizzas at Walmart ….for 20$. I did order a small so I can’t be that upset lol. As you can see by the picture, it doesn’t like all that amazing….I was going to leave a 1 star review right then and there, but something said just try it first.

Wow. I’m glad I did. I have never experienced pizza this good before. The ingredients were the freshest I’ve ever had on a pizza…the meat cooked to perfection, the garlic and herbs at perfection. Unlike store bought or chain pizza that’s loaded with salt - the person who cooked this pizza clearly understood how to properly season without resorting to mountains of salt. I had watched a Gordon Ramsey video where he talked about this, and I feel like this was my first time experiencing the concept. Just wow all around.

My only complaint is that I didn’t order the largest size they had. For a pizza this good you definitely will want leftovers. It was worth every cent. Genoa Pizza - please...
