America’s Best wings — Restaurant in Delaware

The food is good for the most part. Nicely seasoned. We had a whiting platter, a catfish and shrimp combo, 3pc fried wings, and a slice of Oreo cake.

First thing: hot fried food needs to breathe. They put it in Styrofoam containers with no steam vent holes, so it was all soggy by the time we got it home. As this is a take out place, they need to make sure the food is still good when it gets to people's houses. Either let it sit open for a minute or two before closing the container, or poke holes in the containers. Or both.

Second: my Oreo cake was half-melted because they put it in the same bag as all the fried food even tho I asked the server not to.

Third: the food.

My partner's catfish was amazing. Perfectly cooked, delicious. Would have been better if it hadn't gotten soggy from the steam being trapped in the container. The fries were too soggy so he threw them in the trash.

The wings were ok. They needed to be cooked a little longer, but the flavor was good and they were huge. You could tell they were crunchy before they got soggy.

My whiting was seasoned perfectly, but was overcooked to the point it was too tough to eat. Three fillets, and all were completely dried out from being cooked too long. Sadly, all that steam that made them soggy, too, so it was a waste, as were...

Food was decent. However, the person running the front on Monday Sept 8 around 1:30PM was perhaps the rudest front of house employee I have ever come across, anywhere. After walking in and being ignored for 4-5 minutes, I realized he didn't hear the door chime because he had his airpods in. And he had to focus on filling those blue cheese souffle cups because there were only about 74 left in the cooler. So after the back of the house cook peeked through the window (he obviously heard the door chime and was curious why an order hadn't come through yet) to alert the Employee of the Month that there was a customer waiting, I was hopeful for a "Sorry for the wait" but instead got an unintelligible mumble that I assumed was asking me what I wanted to order. I assumed right and my order was placed. When the food was ready, I got an another unintelligible mumble that I assumed meant my order was up. I was right again. I ordered a combo and asked for my soda cup. He literally shoved it into my hand and gave another unintelligible mumble. I was pretty close to throwing the food back into his face, but it was kind of pricey for 10 wings, fries and a fountain soda, so he wasn't worth it. I will...

Got wins, wedge fries and club sub. Cajun wings were over cooked, and almost inedible. Wedge fries were decent for generic fries. The turkey and ham club was basic. For the same price, wawas club sandwich is hand down far better. Don't know what happened to have over cooked wings, it wasn't busy in there at all. In my opinion, I'm not obliged to ever go back. Someone who prepares food, if you make the food as if you were making it for yourself, then why would it be different making for someone paying for it? Return business guarantees a...
