Kukurukoo Express — Restaurant in Delaware

Parking is at a premium here. I think they have 4 spots on the side of the restaurant. I had no problem with parking.

I came in at normal human dinner time. The place is small, 9 tables, 4 were full of families. This place is kind of a dive, with good service, and solid food. I came in and sat myself at one of the tables. The service was good, anything I needed I got quickly. Remember that this place is cash only.

This place does have a mini bar at the counter behind the register. A small selection of liquors, and about 9 beers to choose from. I ordered a Pacifico that was cold and delicious.

She brought me some duros to snack on while I waited. They were fried to perfection, light, and crispy. This was a first time for me, and I enjoyed it very much.

I ordered Kukurukoo Special: Carne Azada, pollo rostizado, chorizo, nopales, aguacate, queso y cebolla. Steak...was tender, marinaded well, decent. I prefer thicker cuts than these little guys. I'd probably enjoy it on a torta though. Roasted chicken...moist and juicy. Just how I like it! I could eat this chicken everyday and not get tired of it. Chorizo...was really good, the casing had a nice little snap to it. Cactus...tasted good, cooked to perfection. Cheese...delicious.I tossed some in a tortilla and mixed in a little bit of everything else. Beans...whole pintos were exactly what I want when I order those puppies. Rice...soft, fluffy, forget about it. Another homerun! They brought out 2 different hot sauces. The green...tomatillo based, excellent with a hint of spicy. The orange...straight fire. This was a hot, not chipotle style, just a lingering hot sauce. I liked both of them.

I ordered tacos to go!!! Al pastor, carnitas, and chorizo. Al pastor...middle of the road, I saw some pineapple in there, but didn't really taste it. Carnitas...juicy, decious, not dry at all. Chorizo...no char, decent flavor, had that hint of cinnamon I don't really love. Not the worst I've had, but far from the best. The tortillas...

I should’ve done when they were really no people inside that the service and the food was gonna be terrible. I’ve been to this place a total of twice, The older woman who runs this place is just rude. If you ask any questions about pricing, she’s automatically cutting you off and telling you if you don’t like it, you can go somewhere else. The first time I was in a hurry, so I bought the food, regardless of her tone, and I went last night, four months later, and still the same tone and ignorant. This time she asked me after I placed an order if I don’t want it then she can just cancel it then I realize this is my money. I don’t have to spend it somewhere where someone’s being rude and dismissive to me. I wasn’t even arguing about pricing. I wanted to confirm what the price was she’s just pointing me to a wall. She’s not gonna last I’m sure she’ll be working in someone else’s restaurant because she can’t...

First I will start from the service. I asked for half a chicken with rice and specifically asked for white meat person taking order said they could not accommodate that and food would be served however kitchen served it. Now for the actual food I was given the white meat however it was bland and very tasteless the rice as well very mushy and both items seem to have zero to little seasoning takes like it was just baked nothing else.
