Rippons Seafood West Fenwick — Restaurant in Delaware

Had a taste for some steamed shrimp and was thrilled that the Selbyville location is open in the off season for us locals! Stopped in early afternoon and was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. I looked at what was available and decided on a 1/2 lb of steamed large shrimp, lightly seasoned. The gentleman went to work getting my order together, while he made small talk with me. I appreciate when employees/owners can do that, as it makes the visit even nicer. I took my order to go, paid, and left. They were perfectly steamed, perfectly seasoned, and just plain delicious! The shrimp were DEFINITELY large! I usually go to the 120th Street location, and feel like there is definitely consistency with taste, quality and product. Best crabs on the beach!

I have been to just about every crab house in Fenwick/ Ocean City and Rippons cannot he beat. Their prices are very reasonable and the crabs are always steamed and seasoned to perfection. Unlike many crab houses, when you order a specific size, you get that specific size. I never feel like I’m getting ripped off with the size or quality of the crabs at Rippons.

My only complaint is their cream of crab soup. I have gotten it twice and it was awful both times, it tasted just like cream of broccoli and their was little to no crab meat in it. With that being said, their steamed shrimp are some of the best I have ever had!

Had amazing food from Rippons in Fenwick. Got a dozen of their jumbo steamed crabs, containers of shrimp salad, tuna salad, pasta salad and potato salad. All were very tasty. The crabs stole the show. Piping hot, steamed with just the right amount of seasoning, and the biggest and meatiest crabs i have ever had.
