US 13 Grill & Catering — Restaurant in Delaware

The place is small and quaint. The food took about 30 minutes, which was fine. The waitress was okay. Checking out, I wasn't told where to go, but I got up and walked to the counter. Though I hadn't said a word and was reading a sign, I was met with a "you didn't say you were paying" I said "oh no I'm just trying to figure out where to go" laughing, smiling wondering if maybe someone else said something to her because I was not worried about it at that point. After I paid, I saw there's a 4% fee, and when I asked, I was met with attitude instead of an informative disposition or any other. I have no understanding as to why she'd upset as I'm not loud and I'm main sir I'm smiling because I've tried small talk to release whatever tension she'd feeling. However, her tone and snaps just really got under my skin so much how she handled it, but I tried to laugh it off and say it's my first time here thinking maybe she'd be like, "okay yes that's just what we do", but no, it was met with visible disdain, which was opposite my disposition, so I was confused. This made me look back at my waitress' disposition, which was neutral but not welcoming, and I began to see our presence there differently. It got under my skin sooo much. She was waiting for a response, but I just laughed nervously and walked off because I didn't want to have to respond in kind, but I rushed everyone out because I knew then that they were all in a bad mood and I didn't want to respond and I just wanted out sooo bad. Crazy! Anyways, food was okay, but not worth the lack-luster...

It's a great place to eat. My mom and I usually go often. We switch and each take turns picking up the tab. This restaurant is usually pretty busy, right before Christmas we went in and we had a different waitress than usual we've only had her once before. She seemed to be having an off day, she was rude and seemed to be moving slow. So we decided not to tip her because of her service. We paid for our meal and went to our car in the parking lot. She followed us to our car and asked why we didn't leave her a tip we told her there was no reason because neither of us wanted to sit there and argue. She then continued to get smart mouthed and told us we shouldn't go out to eat if we don't tip and walked away. I called the manager and surprisingly when we walked back in a week later she still was working! (I'm confused why she wasn't fired for harrassing customers!) The waitress we had told us that she told the manager we havent tipped her for 2 or 3 times and we've only had her once before the incident.We went in today and she seated us and practically threw the menus at us and stormed off. Do not order from this diner! I order 2 Belgian waffle platters. Both with fruit topping 2 eggs and a meat which were $8.95 each according to their website prices. I also ordered an order of 3 French toast which should have been $4.95 according to their website. Our total came out to $31.85 which is INSANE for what we got. Our waffles came plain and cold and they put the whipped cream and strawberry topping in a separate container which messed up the consistency of the whipped cream. They charged us $5.95 for 3 French toast which should of came with 2 eggs for that price according to their website. Our turkey bacon was an extra $2.00 which I find discriminating because my family and many other people do not eat pork and shouldn’t be charged more if the platter INCLUDED a meat. The turkey bacon looked like it wasn’t even cooked fully. They gave us 4 little things of syrup when we had 2 Belgian waffles and 3 French toast, luckily we had syrup at the house for my daughters French toast. The entire ordered just looked rushed! Needless to say I will never be ordering from this diner again. They are over priced and the food is not even that good. Definitely wasn’t worth the outrageous $31.85 I paid for 3...
