Helped by one of the most apathetic girls I've ever seen have a job, I ordered a grilled Ruben on a white sub, an order of fries, and a drink. She stared at me. When I asked if it was cash only she replied a sharp yes. Then she asked if I wanted anything else. I said no, waiting for a total. She finally told me the price and I handed her cash. To my left I saw a tip jar. Being the person I am, I put my change into it. I had to ask if I just take a cup for the soda. To which, I got a snarky yeah as a reply.
I went to get my drink and noticed a cup holding up the drain tray! When getting a lid, I saw that all of the lids are covered in black stuff (Which I am sincerely hoping is soda). Gross.
When I received my sandwich, I realized there were no fries. When I checked my receipt, I realized that she didn't charge me for fries. I had ordered them. I stated it clearly.
Frustrated but hungry I decided I don't need fries today. I will enjoy my sandwich.
Nope.
I got a grilled Rueben on a white sub roll (I hate rye). This sandwich has no dressing and no sauerkraut. I can't find the cheese either. Upon closer inspection, I found the tiny bit of kraut and dressing was stuffed into the side of the sub roll. Wow. For $10 this is super skimpy. The meat is ok but I actually had to get a side of the dressing because it is so dry without it.
When I went to use the restroom to wash my hands, there was no hot water. Both restrooms are disgusting. They need to be cleaned and fixed. Both restrooms had toilets that needed to be flushed. When there was nothing in the bowls but water, they looked like they were filthy.
All of this and then I realized how incredibly dirty this place is there is dust and grime all over all of the fixtures on the ceiling. The air ducts, the speakers, the chains holding up the lights, and the fans are gross! The air duct on the wall is DISGUSTING! I can't believe I ate here actually.

Read moreMy girlfriend and I moved Delray about 2 months ago and she has really been looking forward to eating at Sandwich Man. Today we decided to grab a late lunch after running some errands. Being worn out from our busy day we expected to have a nice stress free meal; this was not the case. At first glance it looked like a very cool place until we got to the cashier. She did not greet us when we said hello but rather gave us a taut and uninterested look like we were inconveniencing her or interrupting something important. We took about a minute to decide what we wanted to order and the whole time she's looking at us with a bitchy face like we were taking up valuable time even though there weren't any other customers in line. So, we order our food, gave the cashier a debit card and were told that they don't accept debit cards. Luckily we saw the ATM because she didn't even mention they had one. It really seemed like she was purposely trying to piss us off. This is 2017 and they don't accept debit cards? I've paid for hot dogs from a cart with a debit card. Honestly, I think this is just way to make more money since the ATM charges a fee. Anyway, we pay and get our food, the cashier still acting snooty and rude. We had to search for a table that didn't have day old ketchup or trash on it. After finding a semi-clean table and getting our food we sat down down to eat. The pizza that I ordered was burnt but not that bad with exception of the crust. My girlfriend ordered a Philly cheese steak that came with about half of the meat that should normally come on a cheese steak. However, she did say she enjoyed it. Bottom line, food is okay but the atmosphere and front line employees suck. I honestly don't know where they found this cashier because she should be in another line of work, away from people. I ordered a couple of times from this place and always had something wrong with my order, from missing my drink (twice) from forgetting to put condiments on my sandwich and giving me the wrong chips. Is crazy how i have to wait an hour to get my order to receive it not exactly the way i ordered it. I've never said anything or even called to complain when it has occurred. but when it keeps happening it gets a little upsetting. So I finally end up calling the store and spoke to an Alyssa and when i'm explaining the situation she clearly tells me (quote on quote) ''i guess your just one of those people it happens to'' and you call your self a manager ??? REALLY? she was asked from my fiancee to speak to anyone else above her and she told him no one is above her.. your kidding right? this is upsetting to the point where i ask myself is the owner of the business knows what going on when hes not there or how his business is ran when it comes to service?.. cause i know for a fact I'm not the first one. As Alyssa was asked to provide information on when the owner will be in or how can we speak to the owner she refuse to give that information all she gave was a name. THIS IS HOW POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS WHEN IT COMES TO RESOLVING A CUSTOMER COMPLAINT..
