I went to Baba PierIgorās with my daughter last week. I asked the waitstaff if the pierogies were gluten free and vegan. She said, āYes! ā she even went to the back to confirm as I have allergies. She assured me the pierogies were gluten-free and vegan. Later that night I was very very sick. I did not associate it with the pierogies until today when I went back with my husband. Again, checking to make sure the gluten-free pierogies were also vegan. This time the staff member came back and showed me the gluten-free flour package had powdered milk. I am quite disappointed in the lack of knowledge the staff has in regards to allergens as there advertising touts gluten free and vegan. In addition, staff are totally unorganized and painfully slow. The cashier did not know how to make change and I had to wait for someone to help her even though told her the correct amount of change that was due. The Borscht was delicious restaurant decor was nice but not worth going back to Baba Pierogies because of staff and the lack of allergen knowledge. In addition, I replied to someone on their Facebook regarding vegan and gluten-free and the deleted my post. Not a way to respond to an allergy concern. Definitely NOT a restaurant I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMight be surprised at the last 2 minutes of the drive up to the location. It felt as if going to a nonexistent place, or a ādefinitely a wrong addressā. But theres a promise at the end of that tunnel šŗThe room is quite spacious. I would have liked more ventilation, and their electricity will flicker once in a blue moon, and then also some electricity or plumbing or A/C noises⦠Additionally, the ceiling is undone, so it sort of ruins the overall look š¤ I would have loved to see green living moss on the ceiling to give it the eclectic look I think they were going for.
Food was ok. Nothing too special. In fact, I did wonder if some was from store bought in a frozen box. We ordered bunches š It was a rainy day, all day and stayed there for some time ⦠The service is great though. But that was almost the expectation from me, since I am aware of the standards for service in Ukraine and in Belarus (non-existent in the USA). Iād absolutely go for their espresso !!! They brew excellent espressos (had mine on ice)! Their syrniki are also pretty good actually; especially, they reheat well, (most donāt) but these donāt dry in a microwave and expand a little, - I took them home and enjoyed next...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI paid $41 dollars for this stuff itās so bad I couldnāt feed it to my dogs. The food on there menu and the food I got are completely different. I know what pierogis look like and taste like . What they sent me was not the pierogis they show in the picture on their menu. Also the chicken cutlets with mashed potatoes the potatoes had no mushroom gravy they put grilled onions the potatoes were the worse potatoās Iāve ever had itās like they mashed then with water. And the waffle dulce de leche again not what they show in the picture I got something with pistachios on them, which I cannot eat pistachios I have a peanut allergy the pierogies were sitting in bacon fat, so greasy was dripping off of them. The cutlet was some type of mashed meat. Nothing like Iāve ever had in my life. Iām so upset. Iām very sick right now so I ordered from this place, I wanted to try it for so long. What a complete disgusting disappointment. I donāt know these reviews have to be fake. This food is nothing and I mean nothing like they show in the picture. The taste quality is absolutely horrendous. Iām shocked. Iām upset. Iām out $41 and Iām too sick to go anywhere to get...
