I've started coming here about once a week and religiously order the chicken fried rice extra spicy with dhal pourie and tamarind sauce. The rice is always wonderfully seasoned. It does not come spicy for those that don't like spiciness, but when requested the sauce they use perfectly builds up the heat intensity without masking or changing the flavor of the dish! I've never had any other dhal pourie or roti before this so I'm not sure what to compare it to, but I love all of the roti on their menu and the dhal pourie is my favorite. The tamarind sauce is sweet and pairs perfectly with everything I order. My boyfriend has had a few other dishes and especially loved the mixed gyro. Fries are excellent. Both portions and prices are excellent. A very broad menu (although it seems many items you need to call ahead for). Friendly and accommodating staff, clearly family run. Food is always fresh and timely. Very clean, modern decor. There are only 3 very nice, large 4 seater tables, however it seems like most of the business is takeout. Out of 6 or so visits I have never not gotten a seat. Netflix for entertainment, and I usually get sucked into the shows. All in all, possibly the best restaurant in Deltona. Highly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve visited Caribbean Grill & Roti Shop (CGRT) a few times and I must admit, everything Iāve had was really good. Better than expected. CGRT is an NYC-style spot, the physical appearance and food quality is very authentic in that aspect. For me, the hardest part about living in Florida has finding good food spots, so CGRT gets a thumbs up in my book. The first few times Iāve visited CGRT, Iāve ordered the gyro (combo) over rice plate and the curry chicken with roti. Both are excellent. Iām not a big fan of curry chicken but theirs is one of the best Iāve had. The roti was very soft and tasty. The last time I visited CGRT, I ordered the jerk flavored wings with vegetable lo mein. That was really good! I honestly didnāt expect much but the quantity and flavor of the food was really good. Itās a spicy meal so prepare yourself, but it not over-the-top so donāt worry. Iām willing to bet everything else on the menu is really good as well. I just wish they had a better drink selection. There is never more than one or two selections, which I just donāt understand. Otherwise, hit up CGRT if you havenāt already. You wonāt be...

Had to wait 30 minutes to get our food. With only three tables, and one family taking up half of two tables, we had no place to sit. It was really warm standing for 30 minutes. It was disorganized in the meal prep/kitchen area. Two people had to tell the fry cook four times that they needed two orders of wings and four orders of fries. Half of that was ours. They were cooking the next order with our order so we had to wait for all of it to finish just to get our order.
HOWEVER, when we got our food home, it was delicious!!!! The fries werenāt that great; we didnāt eat them. BUT, the honey glazed wings and curry chicken were yummy. I liked that the gyro had crumbled lamb. When it is shaved, it reminds me of a steakum. The flavor was great! We really enjoyed our meal. And it was nice to try a different cuisine.
They offer Bobo tea, but I read that those are high calorie, high fat, and the pearls are carcinogenic, so we didnāt purchase those. Would probably eat there again, but would call ahead to order. Would suggest bar stools along the window for...
