We had a great experience, granted we went the weekend after labor day. There was only 1 other couple there, so we got served immediately! The ice cream was super good the staff was friendly, and the prices are reasonable for shore pricing. There are clear pictures for everything so you know what you're getting. I had the peanut butter perfection sundae, and my husband had a medium soft serve swirl cone with jimmies. We also got a frozen banana to take home which was also delicious. The woman behind us ordered a non dairy ice cream. I'm curious to try that next time! We will be back.

What a great place for frozen treats and baked goods! They have an extensive menu that is sure to have something for everyone. I ordered the Jester's Gelati, which is flavored ice layered with custard. It was delicious - and the portion was just right. I would definitely visit again if I was in the area. Fast, friendly service, too. There were outside picnic tables - we appreciated being able to sit down under a covered area to cool off while eating our frozen treats.

Always wanted to try a blue raspberry dipped cone. Didn’t disappoint. Price was okay, staff was great. Only thing negative I can say is the mosquito problem over that way. Mosquitoes were absolutely horrible all weekend in the area and the worst encounter of my weekend was standing in line at the custard king. So put on bug spray or dress appropriately just in case. But don’t let that discourage you. This place is king for a reason!

EDIT-First, Im only asking for an apology for the rude behavior and I’ll gladly remove the review. No one wants to hurt a small business. We spent $29.81 cents on 3 smoothies, not $9 as the owner states. We returned one smoothie. During the “3 minute “ conversation my husband had the staff was discussing with him if he could exchange the drink for an equivalent dessert. The staff went over the receipt and suggested two small cones, which we didn’t need but we were not going to argue. We didn’t ask for a refund, just an equivalent dessert. The owner is suggesting that my husband somehow manipulated these staff members to take the drink back, prepare two small cones inside their secure building and then hand them through an outside window to him with no payment? As for parking across the street, I live here and people are always using the empty lot to park, nothing out of the ordinary, your lot is tight and it makes me nervous with all the people and kids. All this drama over a drink. Now your inferring it costs $19 for 2 small cones which is completely irrelevant since he asked for an equivalent exchange. Furthermore use your footage to see how many times we’ve been there just this week. I think we’re easily $75 in just this week alone. I think it’s ok to not like one drink and ask for a replacement without harassment and scaring my family! Lastly if your staff made an error in what they handed my husband for this exchange than shame on you for allowing your young staff members to pay that draw discrepancy, that’s part of your responsibility to your staff.

Went tonight with my husband and daughter. We ordered a milkshake and 2 smoothies. This order took 20 minutes while the line piled up. The girl who finally handed me my final drink looked very annoyed with us for our order taking up so much of her time. Had they told us it wasn’t convenient we would have ordered something else. We drive away and mine is disgusting. It tasted like in crushed chunks of ice with fruit flavored syrup. It was so sweet. So, we turned around and returned it. We exchanged the $10 drink for 2 small cones. From this point my husband and daughter come back to the car where I’m waiting and another customer come FLYING down the road chasing our car taking pictures of my plate. I’m literally freaking out that someone is chasing us down and taking pictures of my car and small child and when I called a few minutes later I was told no one could talk to me about that?? Weird. All around felt unwelcome and than completely unsafe. What a shame, I thought we found our new little...

I love helping out a good small family business over a mega chain any day. Also my family especially loves ice cream on a summer night. Unfortunately when you’re on vacation and don’t know which is “THE place” in town to go to for your favorite frozen confection, you just wing it. There is no shortage of ice cream stands in this area, in hindsight, I wish we had tried another. Spending a small fortune, on food, in this day and age is bad enough. As we in the middle all know the price of everything has skyrocketed under this “admins” “new America” but then going and getting poor service on top of record high prices really ticks this hardworking American family off! In addition to a sour pus greeting and no “thank you” or “have a nice night” (courtesy goes a long way but most teens/young adults today just stare at you blankly , mouths agape, like they’ve just stepped out of Idiocracy). The amount of jimmies (sprinkles) (at an extra cost) that they threw on top of the ice cream cones was feeble at best! I’d say try the next ice cream stand on google maps maybe you’ll do better. Maybe all the prices are high everywhere right now but at the very least we can hope for service with even the...

Stopped at The Custard king after the Cape May Zoo on our way home with our two kids. We were not planning in stopping for ice cream but my daughter yelled Ice-cream!!! So With a quick Unanimous vote we did a U-turn and stopped for ice cream. So glad we did!! They have anything and everything you could want. The billboard with there menu is huge. Almost overwhelming but the way they have it Organized and color-coded makes it easy to read and helps you choose what you would like. Excellent ice cream and custard. If your looking for a place to take the family or a friend for some custard, ice cream, Italian ice gelato, milkshakes, sherbet, or any type of Sunday-you can imagine,it’s worth the trip!...
