As always “Wolfies” excels at everything. Went around 9AM on a Saturday morning. Line was out the door but not outrageous. Inside they now have 4 registers so the line moved quickly. So quick some people in front of me were caught off guard and were stumbling to figure out what to order. My 1st “Wolfies” tip #1: if you don’t online order the night before ( I didn’t) do yourself a favor and look at the menu before you go. It’s is very big. Besides their world famous muffins, there are numerous other baked goods, all kinds of breakfast sandwiches and several coffee choices. Wolfies Tip #2: if you order an iced coffee (especially a large) and don’t plan on drinking it all before you get home or to the beach, splurge and pay the extra for the real coffee ice cubes. They’re worth the extra unless you like watered down ice coffee, when the regular ice cubes start to melt. The muffins and scones are amazing. Muffins are huge with “Square tops”. Personally I could just eat the tops and throw the rest of any muffin away(I don’t because I still love the bottoms, just not as much as the tops). So if you’re a “Muffin Top” lover I think you’ll love Wolfies. I don’t have a favorite because they are all delicious. The breakfast sandwiches are made fresh to order and come out hot. I had a bacon and egg and as always it was awesome. Bacon is meaty and large slices. They do have limited GF options such as a GF bagel. It’s ok, but not the best I’ve ever had. As my grandson has Celiac disease he can’t get too much at Wolfies. That is my only wish, that they would expand their GF menu sometime in the future. With 4 registers and lots of help the baked goods are served up fast. Outside under the tent where you pick up your coffee and breakfast sandwiches, there is also lots of help. And I do mean help. These young kids are hustling and constantly asking everyone if they have their orders yet, if not they want your coffee slip and want to get it for you. One of the kids was constantly asking if anyone had been waiting more than 15 minutes (no one had) for a sandwich order. It seems like they are trying to make sure no one gets lost through the cracks. Wolfies Tip #3: Unless you can’t walk 50 yards, do yourself and Wolfies neighbors a big favor and park in the big parking lot by the South Side Cantina, The Beach Shack, Bandera’s etc. It in the corner of Shad Hole Rd & Lower County Rd. You can’t miss it. There are a few spots out front but if you happen to snag one it’s not easy to back out into Lower County Rd when you leave. Also those that park on Lower County make it harder for those who walk over from the big parking lot. Lastly besides having great food, I have to give high praise to the owners for hiring a lot of staff who all were amazing and working hard to make sure the customers were treated promptly and with a smile. Whatever you’re doing to hire so many amazing staff should be recognized Along with your superior products. If you like Wolfies enough you can even purchase some T-shirts. I have in the past and they too are of high quality just like...
Read moreI have read the negative reviews posted recently and have to wonder if the people actually went to Woolfies. I have been to Woolfies dozens of times and have never had an experience I would rate as anything but five star.
The staff is comprised mostly of high school and college kids who have always demonstrated the utmost kindness, professionalism, and respect, occasionally in the face of difficult customers.
There is signage at Woolfies and for those of you who take the time to read the signs, they all make sense and in many cases are required due to public health concerns. I chuckle at the comment about the signs being written by children. Would you prefer they be flashing neon signs. Perhaps this works wherever the complainer came from but it does not fit the character of this part of Dennis. And besides, the old, weathered sign that says "Woolfies" is part of the character of the place and I wouldn't want it any other way.
The food for me has always been top notch. They make all of their food fresh everyday. Their muffins and breakfast sandwiches are well known and highly rated and you don't need to look any further than the crowds that form every morning or the stacks of boxes at the coffee station waiting for pickup.
It is disappointing to me that people would treat these folks poorly. They work hard to produce great food and provide the best customer experience they can. My advice to these people is to go find a chain store and get your microwaved breakfast sandwich made from fake eggs and a muffin made from frozen muffin batter.
The crew at Woolfies is doing a fantastic job and I would not want them to...
Read moreCame here to lend my support of a local small business and came away as happy as can be.
Greeted so warmly and sweetly by the cashier who took my order swiftly. I was a bit distracted by the delicious looking freshly baked muffins and treats sitting in racks behind her. But I made a quick decision to have an egg and bacon sandwich and a chocolate muffin (for emergencies).
Paid for my order and waited outside to pick up my sandwich. While waiting, the other patrons were spread out wearing masks and socially distanced under the shady tent. The bagel with egg and bacon came out promptly and I was off on my way to enjoy this delicious and warm looking treat.
5 star experience thus far even before eating the sandwich. Once parked at one of my favorite local hideouts, I unwrapped my summer present and was rewarded with quite a delicious breakfast. I’ll hold off on my review of the muffin as the bagel filled me up quite nicely. Loved the food, quick and friendly service, and the whole experience. Can’t wait until I dig into the muffin. I’ll also be back for some...
