My favorite coffee shop in Denton!
A big, comfortable and open atmosphere with a lot of beautiful plants, local art, cool lights and comfortable places to sit with also places to plug your laptop in etc if you need to charge it.
This space is great for me because I do a lot of work on my laptop, and their Wi-Fi is awesome! I am able to stream 4k content with no problem and download large files.
My only gripe is that there is often crumbs, or small trash, napkins etc on the rugs or on the couches outside. (The outside furniture is a bit messy oftentimes as well.) It doesn't seem like they take the time to clean the floors or vacuum before opening or after closing. However, it is not intolerable! It is mostly very nice, although that extra love and detail would make me feel a little more comfortable and give 5 stars.
If you come here to do work creative or otherwise, I highly recommend bringing headphones, as they like to play some rather loud music that is not my personal taste. (I have noise cancelling headphones, so it's not that big of a bother, but more chill relaxing music is something I would personally prefer.)
Lastly! Their coffee is very good! They also have seasonal drinks which is awesome. I have tried their breakfast burritos which are not my favorite, but glad they have the option! I find a lot of coffee shops only have sweet carb heavy options like muffins, cookies etc. and that's not something I usually go for.
This is an awesome location to get work done, or to meet with friends! There are board games as well, if that's your thing.
They also have a conference room in the back that looks like you maybe can book for...
Read moreGreat tasting coffee. I also definitely felt the buzz after two cups. I might have only needed one, but I had two, so that's what I have to go on. I just had the drip coffee black and was very happy.
I haven't had a coffee shop with roaster near me since I was in college. After trying their coffee yesterday, I am beginning to think that has a huge impact on flavor.
The atmosphere was very comfortable with a definite coffee house vibe. I loved the various seating options. The only problem I had was that I think the only available outlets were by the couches. The way the couches are angled made it hard for me to be able to sit and work on my laptop and I needed to charge while working. I'm not sure there is a solution and it's more of an issue of the building's design rather than the coffee shop.
As far as service goes, the staff were super friendly. I asked a question about the beans that they were using for the drip coffee and they went all over the place to find the answer. I mentioned a few times that it wasn't that big of a deal. However, they definitely took pride in their work and found the answer. They never seemed put off by the question or by the search they went through.
I will...
Read moreTheir coffee is amazing, which is so unfortunate because their service is terrible. Several of the employees are incredibly unfriendly and rude. It's almost as if...is this part of their "charm" to intentionally be rude? If this were a one-time situation, I would ignore it, but this is every time for months now. Sometimes they just keep talking and ignore you; they are very rude if you actually ask a question and just generally not pleasant. When we go, we go in, get our order, pay and leave. We aren't hanging out, taking up space or making a mess. Go in, order, pay and leave. We don't even use the really cute setup they have in there. They really seem like they either hate all people or just hate working there. It's very unfortunate because we get coffee somewhere local almost daily for the office and only go there maybe 1-2 times a month because someone in the office has to be ready to go and have an unpleasant interaction just to buy 2-6...
