This hotel has a great first impression but if you stick around and are observant then you'll see it's all a mirage.
The carpet has a great camouflage effect but while I was searching the floor for a lost earring back I discovered food and bugs the the vacuum had missed and the floor was covered with the little plastic strings that hold price tags on clothes. It is gross when you look close with a little more light than they provided in the rooms with their meager lamps.
The shower and bed were fine but when we arrived in the room there was a wad of toilet paper in the toilet and it appeared that the last person in the room had wiped but forgot to flush.
We were awaken at 6:00 am by a child's footsteps in the room above us. Apparently, the parents didn't wake up for an hour and a half to take the child out of the room until 7:30 am.
We laid in bed staring at the ceiling for awhile and then took showers. We arrived for a hot breakfast as promised at 9 am and the only thing that was kind of hot was the coffee they had stored in a 5 gallion dispenser. The food appeared to be purchased at Sam's Club and consisted of 3 types of dry cereal (Cheerios hoteland two granola cereals). They had a cooler with milk and yogurt. They also a basket of oranges, a basket of muffins, a basket of danish and a basket of granola bars. Apparently, the hotel management likes granola. All prewrapped and ready for the baskets. There were no plates available for our continental breakfast. That's it!!!
I finished and went to throw my wrappers away and went to get a last cup of hot coffee. A poor man was walking toward the breakfast area and the two breakfast attendants quickly walked out and snagged the baskets of prewrapped food and didn't even acknowledge him or ask him if he wanted a prewrapped danish or muffin before they were put away until Monday morning.
Anyway, I got a cheaper price on hotwire and now I know...

Upon check in, we discovered the sofa bed had a dried up tortilla in the cushion and it was obvious the carpet had not been vacuumed because we discovered fuzzy bits all about and a fingernail (GROSS!). I reported this to the front desk and received an apology and offer to move room locations. Since my daughter was already showering, I declined the offer to move. After returning to the room and attempting to make up the sofa bed, we discovered crusty matter on the underside of the couch cushions. I called the front desk and asked for a manager, but was told there wouldn't be one on site until 9:00 AM the next morning. I requested someone to come take a look at what we discovered. I believe it was Emma who came to the room, but I'm not sure of her name. We received another apology and an upgrade to a bigger room down the hall. The problems continued. We discovered there wasn't any bedding for the sofa bed, so we called to the front desk. A set was brought to us, but when I went to put the bedding on, I discovered a very dirty sheet that included visible staining and hair (GROSS!). A different girl came to the room to bring another set. She didn't seem bothered by a dirty sheet set and acted as if it was not a big deal. We should have just left the hotel at that point, but we were tired and ready for bed. When I went to shower, there was hair in the soap dish (GROSS!). Breakfast was a disappointment, as well. The options were lacking (no scrambled eggs, only hot item was sausage), even though there appeared to be three people on duty working the buffet. I'm actually quite shocked that I did not at least receive a phone call from the manager about our troubles. I have photos of what I encountered and would love to share them with anyone who wishes...
Read moreI truly enjoyed staying at this hotel. The decor is modern and chic, and the suites are a nice size. I like how the bathroom is not inside the bedroom. If someone is sleeping on the sofa couch, your sleep is not interrupted if they need to use the bathroom.
I was there for an event. If your party is 200 or more, seating arrangement with tables & chairs is very cramped!!! However, the hotel's buffet style of dining is Awesome. Their menu selection of food items is tasty & filling.
If you are hosting an event there and decide to use the buffet style of eating, please make sure you add enough time in your program to allow the guests to get through the line. Though there are 2 lines, the hallway where the food is located is not big enough for the crowd to file through.
The complimentary breakfast food is Good. Scrambled eggs & sausage almost everyday along with make your own waffles and your basic continental items. If you get to the restaurant an hour after the start time, the hot foods served are cold.
In my eyes, the hotel should be ranked 4 stars. The one thing that upset me was the cleaning of the restroom. Housekeeping did a terrible, terrible job cleaning the toilet, tub, & floor. Maybe it was just my room, but it was the only room not touched. Toilet paper was not even restocked.
This all surprised me b/c I have not had a concern with this in hotels I've visited. I was gone ALL day & arrived late late in the evening, and was in shocked because I left my room in order, tucked away and organized, but my $10 tip for the housekeeper was gone along with a note that I always leave saying "Thank You".
I travel a lot, and question if I will return due to the cleaning of the bathroom. I would have like to stayed another night just to see what the next day's cleaning...
