They added a new rule that mobile orders can't be picked up in the drive thru. I thought this would be fine but as I was heading to the lobby a homeless person ran in in front of me. He went into the kitchen, found a broom, and started sweeping and rambling about how he didn't want to go and wanted to work there. I was uncomfortable staying in there so I went to the drive thru and explained that I was just in the lobby but wasn't comfortable staying. Whoever was working the drive thru started explaining the rule that I had already read on the sign and even mentioned in my explanation so the dude didn't even listen. He tried to dismiss me by saying "I'm the craziest person at taco bell" as if that excused allowing a homeless person behind the counter. After a back and forth he tells me I can pull up in front of the store and they'll bring me my food. Thought this rule was supposed to save time? Before my food was even ready he came to my car to once again dismiss my uncomfort and tried to get me to come in the store a second time after making an unnecessary trip to my car. Then wanted me to move to a closer spot so they could come back out and hand me my food. Then realized how ridiculous that sounded and just went back and brought my food. So much quicker than handing mobile orders through the drive thru, right? This was my first time in this taco bell's lobby and I'm sure as hell never going in again, I can just order in the drive thru and scan a barcode to get my points. Great job guys, this rule that attempted to fix a problem I haven't heard a single person complain about is going to make you guys do more work to do the same thing you were doing and take more time to do it. And to the "craziest guy at taco bell" I hope you one day realize that having a homeless person in your kitchen is a bigger problem than handing someone their order through a drive...
Read moreHad the most bizarre experience last night. I work for Uber Eats as a second job, went to pick up an order around 3am. Ended up sitting in line until 4:30, got to the speaker and no response just static. Pulled forward to the window and they said because I didn't wait at the speaker I'd have to go to the back of the line and start over. I explained to her I waited in line (for the 1.5 hours), and that I apologize for the mistake at the speaker and if she can still please help me out, that I had not done anything wrong and remained respectful throughout our interaction. She refused to give me the order with the exact words "You're not getting anything from me". I stayed calm and tried to reason with her but no luck, she continued to escalate in her words and actions and locked the window in my face, turned off the store lights and I'm assuming prepared to leave. Myself and the long line of people remaining were stuck! There were other Uber/DD drivers in line as well, who had an hour plus of their time completely wasted and disrespected. Absolutely no respect for the people who are also !working! for Uber/DD (i'm trying to survive and make a living y'all!) but also the customers of these delivery services and therefore of Taco Bell as well. I felt so confused as to what was happening and just sat there in shock. I highly recommend steering clear from this restaurant until new management or staff change out has been made.
Edit: For the owner of this store, judging by the time I'd arrived it seemed like your staff was bleeding the clock and therefore completely hindered the amount of potential service that could have happened....
Read moreThe food was decent, however I would give 1 star for service if it wasn’t for the lady (she may have been a manager) I spoke to when I voiced my issue. I ordered 4 items from this location via drive through. When I got to the window, the boy who was handling payments opened the window and literally just stared at me. Me, waiting for him to tell him my total, after several moments he finally opened his mouth to tell me my total, and when I handed him a $20, be promptly took the cash from my hand and closed the window. He then handed me my change, did not count it back to me, and handed me my order. I told him thank you, and he shut the window. I made the drive all the way home, sat down to eat my meal to notice all of my items were incorrect. I checked my receipt thinking they may have heard me incorrectly at the drive through, however my receipt was exactly what I ordered. I then drove all the way back to this location and voiced the issue with my order, the lady working the intercom was very polite and asked me to pull forward so that they can correct my order. I spoke with her at the window, she was VERY nice (I wish I had gotten her name), and then proceeded to the back to fix my order. After a short time, the boy who I had interacted with the first time around opened the window, handed me the bag, then quickly shut the door. I understand some people are not as vocal, but service wise, he needs to be in the kitchen where he doesn’t engage with the public. My visit was on...
