Our Place Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Denton

I have to say, I was looking forward to going here. It was supposed to be a date night, and since it was close, I figured, why not. Albeit it was a Wednesday, but nonetheless. There were decent reviews online. Outside of an argument between someone and the owner, it seemed like a good bet. The pictures looked like the food was great, and the drinks looked good. Online, that is. We go in, and there are a few people at the end of the bar. Having a grand time. I figured they would at least have the Rangers game on, considering it's kind of sold as a Sports Bar. But, I digress. The folks at the end of the bar weren't necessarily loud, but they were definitely drinking and enjoying themselves. The bartender was anything but. We asked about a drink menu, and he said, "they aren't ready yet." He asked, "Were you looking for like mixed drinks? " We just ordered a vodka cranberry single and a screwdriver double. To say he was heavy-handed would be an understatement. Im talking a 75/25 mix and, lord. That was heavy. He said, "Sorry, Im kind of heavy-handed. Not a bad thing, though, right?" Whilst not saying it out loud because I was thinking about ordering something else, I thought, yes. It was a lot. Still, I drank it because I paid for it. But it was a lot. We decided that this was not the spot we thought it was, so we paid for the drinks, tipped the man, and left. Didn't wanna bother with food, and the 1 drink was plenty. I would not mind trying this place again because of the proximity, but we dont get too many free nights. I'll have to check it out on a weekend and see, maybe. We found this place on tiktok and despite the reviews, we decided to give it a chance and it was unfortunately a regretted decision. We were a group of 7 with 3 tickets. And it was only 1 other party of 2 in the building. The waitress messed up our order, missed part of the order, and then dropped the food upon arrival. When the tickets came they were incorrect. After correcting they charged 1 person on our group for all 3 tickets. When we pointed out the issue, the response was "well I still gotta get paid. I'm not going to comp any of it" We didn't ask for anything to be compensated; just stating the issue that now their card is going to have to be charged AGAIN because yall messed up. I went in here in about 1 in the morning in need of an escape of the crazy Halloween night where i was greeted by the young girl working the bar. She let us sit and enjoy the peace of the place but she informed me the kitchen was closed. NO PROBLEM! If anything just a seat and water which we were promptly given. Another lady, perhaps the owner, came up after seeing us clearly starving and opened the kitchen to make us each a burger after she had already cleaned up for close. MY ENITRE HEART!
