Came to Burger King, possibly first time at this location from a stressful doctor appt. I placed my order at the drive through and used the app coupon. Was amazed at how many Diet Coke options they had with and without caffeine. Staff were cordial. I was handed my drink. I was then handed my receipt and credit card. For whatever reason I inadvertently thought I had gotten my food and drove off. Totally my fault. I was almost home, 11 minutes away, when I realized what I had done. So I turned around, arrived back at the same Burger King and waited patiently in line at drive through again. I figured the drive through would still have my food and it would take 2 seconds to hand to me at window. I still had my receipt or maybe they trashed my order and would offer a fresh meal. I understood it was my fault. After waiting, I get to window and it was a different worker. I tried to explain what happened and that I just needed to pick up my food and showed my receipt. Without asking other employees about the situation or looking around for my order, she just immediately told me I had to park and come in. At the time there was only one vehicle behind me. Also, the reason I was at the drive thru in the first place is because I’m very COVID cautious so I really didn’t want to go inside. And there was another line inside. I patiently waited in that line as well and thought maybe they were going to make my food fresh. I get to my turn, after waiting in that line patiently, explain my situation, and the original worker was in the lobby and advised the counter crew where my original food was. I feel like I had the runaround. If they were going to hand me my old food, why not just hand me through drive thru window. If only the 2nd worker had asked someone where it was. After making me wait in both lines, even though they found my food, why not offer to make it fresh. Everyone knows fast food has time lines on cooked food and it’s not uncommon to throw food away past the time they can sell. There wasn’t even an apology as to being sorry they didn’t ask the question while I was in the drive thru a second time to save all parties involved time. Why didn’t the first worker alert her coworkers that, hey this customer just drove off without their food, it’s right here and if they come back more than 5 minutes later, just trash this and get them a fresh meal. I will say the quality of food was delicious and the fountain drink had a lot of fizz. Just feel in spite of it being my fault, customer service could have been way better. The few seconds it would have taken that drive thru worker to ask “hey anyone drive off without their food” would have solved situation in 2 seconds. Or “please come inside, this happens, we’ll make your...
Read moreI had two bad experiences at this location. First time, I ordered two simple sandwiches on their two for six dollarmenu. I was at the drive thru on MLK Blvd and Downing St.... I ordered two crispy chicken sandwiches with cheese, no veggies, and extra mayo... The drive thru operator kept repeating the order incorrectly, and laughing about it. After asking the operator if the microphone was working correctly, he said that it was. I made the fifth attempt to order my meal, and was met with an incorrect result along with chuckling in the background. I told the operator that I will be parking my vehicle, and coming inside to order. When I entered the restaurant and approached the counter, I saw the operator smirking and trying to hide. I pointed him out and ordered him to come to the counter. As he approached I asked him if he thought that it was funny to play with a person's food and money. Then I added a bit more information on how funny it would be if I jumped over the counter. The manager, or trainer, whatever she is witnessed everything that went on from the time I pulled up to the drive thru, until I came inside and asked the smart aleck if it would be funny if I jumped over on his side of the counter. Only when she heard this, did she herself stop laughing, told smarty to go sweep or something, and told me that she would make my sandwiches herself. She apologized, made my sandwiches and I left for work. The second incident happened the next day. Once again, I was headed to work and I walked in and ordered at the counter. The cashier was pleasant and took my order. This time, I ordered two more two for six dollars crispy chicken sandwiches, extra mayo, no veggies, and a large vanilla shake. When my food arrived, there were only two sandwiches in the bag. Upon looking at the reciept, the cashier only rang me up for one order. I said that was fine, let me order another two for six dollars crispy chicken sandwiches. They asked me if I wanted them prepared the same way the first two were made, with extra mayo, and no veggies, I said yes. When my sandwiches arrived, they were loaded with lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles. I told the manager or trainer what happened, and she had the second two chicken sandwiches remade the correct way. Then she asked about the first two sandwiches that I had already taken to the car. I told her that I didn't check those two sandwiches. I told her that I was running late for work. She told me that if the other sandwiches were made incorrectly, to come in and let her know and she will correct it... The two sandwiches were loaded with veggies that wilted from the heat of the chicken. I guess that I have to go back again... She was nice about the whole situation and informed me that it was the cashier's first...
Read morePlaced a mobile order at this location on 5/30/19 and the app glitched and charged my card twice. I showed them the double charge on my bank account and it shows in the reciept as duplicate (see attached photo) at the checkout window. I was told there was nothing they could do and to come back in 2 hours when the manager was around. Obviously could not wait around for a $13 refund. Called later that day and the next day and following week and was always told the same thing that manager was not around and nothing they could do and that I would get a call back. Called the corporate office customer service 6/7/19 and explained the same situation and was told same thing that I would be contacted. Reference # of my call (PDD7Y) called again today 6/24/19 and gave same info was apologized to but said the department that issues the refund must be really busy. Going on about a month to get a $13 refund because of a glitchy app that I pointed out when I got my food is ridiculous. It should have been handled right then and there. I obviously don't have time to keep calling and bothering you for a $13 refund. Customer service is poor, will never go to any BK ever again.
Update: they finally got back to me and told me to contact my bank to reverse the charge.... terrible customer service. Will never return they make you use the app in order to get the deals only to rob you and then keep you on the hook for a month that they will do the right thing only to tell you to contact your bank about a charge that happened a month...
