FURTHER. I'm trying the Peruvian desserts more closely: leche asada, flan, cookie de novia and alfajores. Let me tell you, they are poorly made Peruvian desserts. The lady has reduced costs where I could feel on the palate that they do not meet basic standards. There is no way I can put them on sale because the milk in the flan felt a little cut/stale, the roasted milk had a very light flavor and was not as golden as it should be, and the alfajores were burnt (now I understand why I didn't have them). in the display case and not, as he said, because the cookie gets wet since that is very difficult because it is manjarblanco and not another sweet) That is not done. Believing that "it's cool" because there aren't that many Peruvians and "it can make people believe" that that's the flavor. Oh no, it makes us look bad. We, Peruvians, are first in the world in gastronomy and even the attitude of the lady when her lie was discovered, she left a lot to be desired. Other than that, everything I asked her: she had nothing to do with it. When a person wants to do things well, he does them. Because if you're not going to do things right, it's better not to do them ✌️🦁 A dessert cannot be named "Mascarpone" if you don't use that cheese and you try to "make people understand" that it is another. In other words, she imposes herself with passive aggressiveness to make people believe that she is as she is in front of a Peruvian woman who knows how to cook because she likes to eat "she gave me attitude" no matter how politely she spoke to him. This is called deception, scam:...
Read moreI usually don't leave reviews for places, but decided to make an exception. My sweet husband wanted to surpise me with a birthday cake. However, the real surprise was the bad costumer service. I gave 2 stars because yes they did get him a last min cake. He left and came back an hour later only to be told the price of the cake had changed. Well because he wanted to get me this cake that we had tried previously with a friend. He agreed to any charges being made to him, they had originally said 30 dollars and ended up charging him 50!! We've been looking for a new bakery to go to and i promise we wont be back. We dont care about the price. But changing it for every little thing because they see a man desperate to surprise his wife is...
Read moreBirthday cake rescue - a success at Piero's! I wanted to pick up a cake from a baker but had THE MOST DIFFICULT time finding one on the same day. From Arvada to Lakewood, the local bakers were all pre order, ugh! My web search leventually ead me to Piero's and I couldn't be happier! I placed the order over the phone, and headed to Piero's. 25 minutes later, my son's birthday cake was iced and boxed. I couldn't resist adding a few empanadas into another box. If you are looking for a delicious, NOT outrageously priced cake that isn't a "plastic" tasting one from a grocery store, this is your place! The staff would likely prefer more than 20 minutes advance notice for pick up, but in a pinch, they helped...
