Vollmer's Bakery — Restaurant in Denver

My 76 yr old dad has always shared wonderful memories of his dad bringing Vollmer's Boston Cream pie during his childhood. I ordered their Boston Cream Tort for his birthday this year and it was unbelievably delicious! It was the most beautifully decorated, decadent, luscious desert we have ever tried. He teared up because it brought back such amazing memories. It was such a great experience picking it up also! The gentlemen were so wonderful, kind, thoughtful, caring and had our Tort ready and beautiful when we got there! They also gave us a free cheesecake to take just because they are amazing! This has to be some of the best cheesecake we have had ever, and the person in front was so incredible kind. We drove to the location a few days before Christmas with our son from Castle Rock because we saw they were rated highly for cheesecakes. We mentioned to the young lady that we were from Castle Rock and also pretty new to Colorado and without missing a beat she said to us, "let me give you one of our New York Cheesecakes so you can taste that too", what a kind and generous offer. We purchased the tiramisu and the Cherry Strudel along with the free New York cheesecake and everyone in our family loved each one!! This will be our go to place for cheesecake...

This was probably me not doing enough research, but this location is not a traditional bakery. I went here thinking I could buy individual slices, however, they only sell whole cheesecakes. Although the cheesecakes sounded good, I didn’t need an entire 8-10” cake. After expressing this to the sales associate, she offered me a smaller cake & wish me happy holidays. Little did she know, it was my birthday and she helped make my day. The cake was so tasty. They have a by the slice location in south Denver. I hope to check it...
