Vegan Van — Restaurant in Denver

VeganVan is the absolute best!!! The food is delicious and the guys in the truck are awesome.. They make everything themselves and you can definitely tell a lot of effort and time went into making sure everything they serve is amazing!! The staples like the crunchwrap & chalupas are a must and the specials they rotate in are just as awesome.. I always get enough for leftovers because there is no such thing as too much VeganVan

Update (6/4/23):

I love VV found a home & more people are able to experience their awesomeness.. I am sad it's affected what made them special to us.. my bf and I used to go to VV at least once a week for the great food and amazing staff (Angel was always the highlight of our visit) they stopped remembering their regulars tho still delicious the food is not the same & there is not as much variety or customization they run out of things or are consistently inconsistent with the availability of their menu items we always order around $100 of food but no longer get a receipt or have the order checked & if something is missing I've had to pay for it again

Unfortunately VV is no longer our weekly special.. they are still great, I appreciate how hard they have worked to keep serving those who love them & doing what they love while filling a very sad vegan...

Hate to write a bad review for a small business but this place gave us food poisoning yesterday. Both times my wife and I have eaten here, we haven't felt very good afterwards. First time I was thinking it was because it's junk food, but I still thought it was delicious. But our second time coming, which was yesterday, 7/17 we got horribly sick. We came by for dinner shortly before their closing. So I'm guessing that they werent following food safety protocol and letting food thats been sitting out in the heat (it was 95 yesterday) get served to customers. Because when we woke up, our stomachs were absolutely wrecked. And they still are. I will spare you the dirty details but...it's pretty rough on the toilet today. My wife is especially struggling... I felt in my intuition that something didn't feel right about the food but I kept on eating. Ugh. Just sharing our experience. Needless to say we wont be returning. No, it couldn't be from anything else and I'm positive about it. Was going to give only 1 star but I appreciate all vegan businesses on some level.

I ordered through DoorDash and it was pretty bad. The ‘cheese’ on the cheese pizza had a glue consistency and stuck to our lips, where we had to peel it off. The queso had a terrible smell which made me not want to even try it. The taco wasn’t bad, just cold and not very flavorful. I’ve been a vegetarian for most my life and have many vegan friends and this is probably the worst food we’ve tried. I say food because the fries were bland and overcooked too.. and French fries are not exclusively vegan. Wanted to like it but.. there are def better vegan spots in Denver. Edit: Unfortunately this establishment cant handle facts and since I provided proof of order they had to make other accusations. I have no idea who spicy vegan is lol and have no problem contacting DoorDash about the matter to prove it. :) You couldn’t pay me to try that food again!
