Denville Bagel & Deli Inc — Restaurant in Denville

My double egg and cheese sandwich was delish, bagel was good and had a lot of "everything" seasoning. However I am giving them 3 stars because they do not tell you that they are halal - and the bacon that you order will taste like diluted bacon flavored paper b/c it's turkey bacon. I think that's a rather important thing to tell your customers. I wouldn't have wasted the money on a side of bacon if I knew it was turkey!

Assuming is the root of all disappointment. And wow, was I disappointed. I ordered a chocolate chip bagel. Their sign for it literally says "chocolate chips". No. There was not a single chocolate chip in the entire bagel. Just a plain bagel with what seemed to be a light dusting of chocolate shavings baked on top. I wish I could say it was at least a decent bagel under the chocolate farce, but it was soft and bready without the quintessential chewiness of a bagel. We first stopped here after an impromptu delay into JFK. As a Jersey native, I'm always craving good NY/NJ bagels that we just can't get in Central PA. Whenever we are nearby, we make it a point to stop. Great bagels, breakfast sandwiches and lunch subs. The owner, whose name escapes me, is always friendly. Today took the cake! We mentioned after ordering, that we love it and can't get good bagels. He promptly brought over a half dozen bagels at no charge because, "you need good bagels!" What a gem and such a kind gesture!!...
