Art Classes with Mary Shadbolt LLC Art School — Attraction in Denville

My children have been going to Mary’s art classes for years. For over 5 years my sons’ skills have grown immensely. Art is a favorite activity but also helps focus his mind. He has learned many techniques that he has transferred. When the pandemic hit the pivot to offering virtual classes and take home kits was great to help to keep kids engaged and entertained and off the screens. When classes were able to be in person again Mary did an amazing job keeping kids safe but also bringing back a sense of normal that they desperately needed. We were even able to have a birthday party safely and with a lot of fun for the kids. Mary made sure the kids had a great time and made my daughter feel special. Mary not only is great with the kids her adult night out classes are fabulous. They are great little pops that are fun for a girls night out that is different and unique. My daughter was the last of her friends to have an in person birthday party before the world shut down, and after a year of virtual parties, virtual summer camps and virtual school it was my priority to try to hold her party in person so she could see her friends.

Throughout the last year I had ordered many of the craft kits that Mary offered for pickup and my daughter had really enjoyed creating the various projects that she had to offer. The instructions were always clear and the projects were adorable.

When it came time to plan her party I reached out in the hopes that an in person party was possible, with a virtual painting party as my back up plan. Mary went over her safety protocols with me several times and the day of the party walked my daughter through how her friends would enter the building. They were socially distanced and the care Mary had taken in ensuring the safest party possible was clear.

We had originally planned an in person birthday party for my daugther in March of 2020, but covid had other plans. Fast forward a year and we still weren't too keen on doing something in person, but wanted to do something fun virtually. Mary was awesome enough to still honor our original deposit and we were able to have a paint your own mermaid party via google meet with 10 close friends. She made the whole prorcess so easy. All the supplies were pre packaged for each guest and ready a week ahead. We just had to pick them up from her and drop off to each person, which added to the fun! Everyone said they had so much fun learning about mixing colors and customizing their mermaids! We had 10 very proud artists at the end of the party.
