It's a hit or miss I'm finding. First time I went there was right before we moved into the area, got some of the best baked turnovers I've ever had. Once we moved here, we ordered a pizza that tasted undercooked. Third time we got some terrific sandwishes, and fourth time we ordered a sicilian that was very good.Tonight however we had yet another bad experience. Ordered a sicilian with ham, told it would take 20 minutes, we arrived 25 minutes later only to wait another 20 minutes before it was finished. It was not busy what-so-ever. We left for home and when we opened the box noticed there was NO ham on the box. I do not recall being given a receipt as I was annoyed with the wait it didn't even pass my mind to ask for one. When I tried to call the business (1 and a half hours before close time) to verify whether or not I was charged for the ham (if I wasn't then I wouldn't have had a problem) but they would not answer the phone though I called repeatedly. I assume they closed early, but my ride home was less then 5 minutes. This type of business practice has completely turned me off from them. I would recommend them as a last resort, but you can probably find a better more reasonably priced shop in Deptford with more...
Read moreThe food here is very good, albeit, I usually order sandwiches and/or pizza. I haven't tried any platters. The pizza crust is a bit chewy and slightly difficult to bite through, so if you have teeth problems, like my father who wears dentures lol, you might want to stray from the pizza.
Updated: Their prices have gone up dramatically. When they start to charge $7.00 for a 2-liter bottle of soda, you know it's time to find another pizza place. There's no excuse for this, especially since you can go to Walmart, across the street, and buy 3 bottles for the same price.
Plus, now they've resorted to using a pre-baked cheese pizza and throwing pepperoni on top, then popping that in the oven for a few minutes. When they do this, the pepperoni doesn't stick to the pizza. They'll fall off if you turn it to the side.
They're going downhill. I originally rated them 5 stars, but I'm removing 2 stars. One for the prices, and one for using pre-baked pizza. You want a better deal? Try Villa Nuova, just down the road, about a half mile or so. Equally good pizza and a bit easier on the wallet.
EDIT #2 - In response to the owner's reply... Yes $7... $6+Tax. Proof is in...
Read morePoor customer service, poor quality Italian food and non accommodating and rude staff. I try not to leave bad reviews but this place is a complete joke. Online menu prices are not consistent with those listed in the restaurant, they are aware of this however they will refuse to honor their own prices. Taste of food varies from day to day as if there are no set recipes for the items that they sell. I tried giving them multiple chances by returning a few times but my latest experience here will be my last. There are way too many pizza spots nearby to settle for this garbage. Spend your money elsewhere and...
