Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Deptford Township

I typically don't leave reviews, but I was really surprised and disappointed at the change in customer service at this location when it comes to delivery. To be clear the delivery people are fantastic, but the in store customer service clearly has declined, and now leaves something to be desired. Calls are routinely rerouted now to a call center where there is barely a command of the English language. I was attempting to place an order with the call taker that was having difficulty understanding my order. The call taker directed my call to the store and when they picked up I was told that I would need to call the call center back to place the order. I told the individual that the call center was unable to understand me and directed me to the Deptford store for assistance. The rudeness of the Deptford store call taker was appalling. I Asked him what would he suggest if the call center directed me to the store for assistance and the call taker at the Papa John's hung up mid conversation! I have in the past ordered and picked up from this location with no issues. My vehicle is out for repairs so I have been ordering out for the past week. When I attempted to call back selecting the prompt that would connect me directly to the store it rang for 1-2 minutes, someone pick up then hung up. I called back and no pick up at all. Unprofessional and very rude to a patron that has used this location for the time that they have been here in the area. Will never use them again! The condescending attitude was just awful. I was literally ASSAULTED by Autumn the store manager. I ordered a pizza from the Deptford, NJ location this evening around 8pm and when the pizza arrived it was horrible so we contacted the store. Spoke to the manager Autumn. I advised that I wasn’t pleased with the pizza and she hung up the phone. My assumption was the call was disconnected so I called back and she hung up again. I proceeded to reach her several times by phone and she kept hanging up the phone and continued to use foul language after the fifth she said come get her “F… money and advised that she didn’t have time for this so we proceeded to store. I asked if she was Autumn and she said yes. I then explained that I was the person that was called five times. She said well you were rude which is bold face lie. She continued to use foul language and then she threw the money at me including change. She also hit me in my face with the pizza box and knocked off my glasses. I am hopping that the store has the recorded calls and the video because she made it seem as if I was rude and the recorded messages will confirm my tone. My husband has a portion of the video on his phone. I was ASSAULTED by Autumn the store manager. There was one customer in the store and another had arrived after the assault but appeared to have witnessed it from his car. Didn’t have chicken or anything else I ordered and refused to make it right on top decided to tell me I only have an option for refund or cheese pizza and no one is wearing uniform so you can’t even tell who’s an employee or what’s going on. Guy decided to go to back of store came up front and started making pizza didn’t wash his hands or anything he’s supposed to be the gm

I decided to give this place on the request of the district manager I went in to get my pizza and they told me they don’t have onions I said ok just throw jalapeño on it and as I was talking the guy he decided to start touching my cooked pizza with his bare hands and starts popping bubbles lol they thought I was crazy for asking for a new pizza and I called corporate and guess what they just transferred me to store and they hung up on me this whole company needs to be shut down. Idk what the township or county food inspector is doing but this store needs a shut down

Update: 8 months later gave this place a try bc i had guests for eagles game and ordered a large jalapeño pizza and got a pizza with 7 slices of jalapeños to be exact lol on top of that the delivery driver didn’t have change im so confused as to how this store is still open. Whooptie...
