Villa Nuova Ristorante & Pizzeria — Restaurant in Deptford Township

Came with my ladies group today. First of all food was excellent. Had some tiny issues. I looked online I saw slice of pizza $2.38 and lunch special any wrap $9.95 with fries. Sounded good. I get there and I asked (Linda I think that was her name), do you have slices? "No I dont think any is out ill have to check. " OK do you have the 9.95 wrap special? "No we don't have that " But it was online. Then she tells us about a lunch special...$16.99 and a personal pizza. Bit pricey for a special. Then we saw a sign at the door that everything was $3 more than menu price. My friend and I split a personal pizza which was good and more reasonable for us. Online menu should be updated . I think a pizza should be ready when you open. Misleading for anyone...

Went on a recommendation of a friend, I am now questioning that friendship. Went at about 6, still early in the night, did not have potatoes for appetizer we requested, not a good start. Bread was very tasty and server was nice and friendly, hence the two stars. I ordered veal Montero, there was more cheese than veal and it tasted awful. I didn't even finish my plate and still have a bad taste in my mouth as I type this. In the immortal words of Gordon Ramsy, there was so much oil on my plate the U.S. was as considering evading it. It's an after taste like the cheese was bad. Wife order pasta puttanesca, which is supposed to be spicy, it not only lacked spice but taste as well. As a good friend I would not recommend this...

So after 25 years of driving past Villa Nuova my wife and I decided to stop tonight. From the time we walked in, until we walked out the ambiance was excellent. For appetizers we ordered Grilled vegetable salad and Antipasto Italiano. Both were very tasty and full of flavor. My wife ordered the Pollo Parmigiana & Pasta, I had the Salmon Livernese. To say they both were delicious, does not express the true wording to describe what we ate. The salmon just fell apart and melted in my mouth. And of course the dessert also rocked. We highly recommend this place again. We were even lucky enough to meet Pepe the chef/owner. A great man himself. Bring your appetite and family/friends you will not be...
