I visit this dunkin donuts 3-5 times a week, and they frequently get my order wrong. I often have to go back through the drive thru to have them correct it, but most times I don’t have the time or patience to go through again. They also tend not to label the coffees they give me, or the labels are incomplete and I can’t differentiate which drinks are which.
Because of this, I decided today that I would write down my order and hand it to them at the drive thru because it was more complex, and so they weren’t as likely to get it wrong. I drove up and told the person taking my order that I had it written down, and she said to drive to the front window. She asked me why I wrote down my order and said that she already knows what I order. My order frequently changes as I order for many people and like to try different things, so her “knowing my order” isn’t accurate in any way. I told her that it’s because it is often wrong when I give it verbally. She then became very insistent that she never gets my order wrong and that if her manager was there, they would flat out refuse me service for giving her a written order. If this is truly the case, she should have informed me at the speaker instead of ushering me through.
She said that it was her who made all my drinks every time I come through, but this is not the case as she had insisted. I have witnessed the other employee make my coffee on multiple occasions, so to my understanding this information was false. I then told her that it wasn’t so much her that made my coffee wrong, but the other employee. To note, both employees have made it wrong, but she consistently does it far less. She told me that this was favoritism of customers to take a written order and that it was favoritism of the employee. She got upset and insisted that I was implying that the other employee made my order wrong on purpose. To this, I told her that I didn’t care who made it, just that it was made correctly. I never mentioned having a specific employee make my coffees, so this was very unfounded of her to say. She gave me back the order that I wrote and the receipt for my coffees.
Even though I wrote the order down and she insisted that she didn’t get my orders wrong before, the order was wrong. Again. Because of how rude she was and offended she seemed, I just drove away. I still have the written order and receipt she gave me to prove that she did in fact get it wrong.
One employee was a young and skinny blonde girl, and the other employee was a lighter skinned mixed race girl with long black hair. The blonde employee was the person I was talking to.
Honestly, the Ankeny Dunkin donuts that is owned by the same person is so much better. The employees are nice and they get the...
Read moreEvery time I go to this specific location(closest to my house) I’m disappointed. I should know by now to drive the 20 minutes to Merle hay rather than 10 minutes to this location. Let’s start with my last trip there from today. I went there at 2:50pm through the drive through. Got 2 butter pecan coffee’s, a Kiwi Watermelon refresher, a sausage egg and cheese croissant and an and a sausage egg and cheese sandwich taco thing with added bacon. It was dead when we pulled up to the drive through so after putting our order in we were able to drive right up to the window. We paid with my rewards and politely waited. 8 minutes go by and the lady hands us our first item - a berry refresher in which we didn’t order. We gave that back and the gentleman made my correct drink quick. Hands it to me along with the two butter pecan. We waited a little longer for our food which wasn’t a problem as it means fresh and to order :) Once our food was completed and handed to us at 3:02pm it was lukewarm and no added bacon on the sausage egg and cheese sandwich. Paying $24 for This food for it to be lukewarm and drinks made incorrectly and extremely sweet(undrinkable) is ridiculous. All of the staff at this location need to be trained again. Thank you to the merle hay team across from target for being consistent with great service and quality food. Never again will I give this location...
Read moreI rarely make bad reviews but this one is definitely needed would not recommend going here. Which I pulled in the line was wrapped around the building (which was expected). That was the good part.
This was my first time at Dunkin
The bad: It takes about 10-15 minutes per vehicle in the drive thru. After almost 45 minutes I finally made it up to the ordering screen. And here is where it gets really good. So I ordered a mocha iced coffee with french vanilla creamer and caramel syrup and lots of sugar, then the worker asked "anything else?" I said "let's see" and paused while I looked at the menu. Then the worker said rudely "pull up to the window". I said "I'm not done yet". The workers response was "what do you want?" So I ordered 2 bagels, 1 plain, 1 everything, both with cream cheese and toasted. And she wouldn't tell me my today at the menu.
I got up to the window and got a iced coffee with only mocha and sugar. Then made my bagels not toasted so I had them make them toasted. She was straight up attitude. Then said rudely "pull around and we'll bring it out". So I pull around and about 20 minutes later here comes a nice gentleman brings out the bagels. So I opened them up and I got 2 toasted plain bagels with very little cream cheese. They were cold and rock hard.
They can't get an order right, mess up alot of orders, and horrible...
