The Fremont — Restaurant in Des Moines

Really disappointed in the blatant discrimination displayed by the bartender Saturday night. She only ever acknowledged me, the white woman in the relationship, and said that she would be with me shortly...that is, until she saw that I was with my girlfriend, who is a woman of color. At first we believed that she was just busy, but 15 minutes into waiting at the bar, we saw her helping herself to drinks, giving drink recommendations to other patrons who didn't even ask, etc. Next time you decide to be a bigot, try being a little less obvious about it. We will not be returning to an establishment where we obviously are...
