LT Boba — Restaurant in Des Moines

LT Boba is exactly what the Southside needed!! It is absolutely delicious! I just discovered them not too long ago, and they have such a large variety of drinks, flavors, and toppings that I had no idea about! I had never been there before, and now I have visited 3 times in one week. The store is affordable, trendy, and clean, and their drinks are over the top tasty and worthy of trying. The staff is super pleasant and quick to assist and make your drink or food, and help make suggestions if you're unsure of what you want. (They helped me find my PERFECT drink). The staff have added so much color to their store that it feels very warm and welcoming as soon as you walk in. They have wall decor that has bright colored Boba drink collages all around the store, tvs on the wall with music playing, ample amount of seating, and space to spread out and not feel crammed. They have a book shelf for children and adults, so you can sit down and enjoy your drink with a nice book in hand. They have a great store with absolutely fabulous drinks that anyone could enjoy. I was always a coffee girl, but now I think I am officially a Boba girl! Make sure to call ahead of time if you want any of their hot food. It takes a few minutes to make their MoMo's (a blend of chicken or pork, with minced vegetables/onions with flavorful herbs steamed in a breaded pocket. Dipping side included. It is very similar to dumplings), but if you call ahead, they have them fresh and ready to go as soon as you walk in. My husband raved over the MoMo's, so give those a try alongside your favorite drink! They also have desserts of cupcakes and a few other items, so they hit every key note on your tongue! Was super good. Ordered a brown sugar boba and a lavender one. Very good, not too sweet (as someone who has a sensitivity with sugar) and nice and cold with minimal ice so you get more of the drink! Though I'm pretty sure you can ask for extra ice if you wanted. They also have some seating areas to hang out while waiting for your drinks/food. Decently comfortable, and it adds to the cozy atmosphere. It was also very clean. I'm definitely coming again! I love supporting small businesses in my community :) Sometimes it does take a little longer than other restaurants, but it's a small business with great flavor, so it's worth it, especially if you go with someone to talk to. Staff were patient, informative and welcoming without being impatient or irritated since we hadn't ever tried their product.Was pleased with the overall experience and can't believe the customers weren't lined out the doors with highschool just letting out 4 the day.u want a refreshing way to chill n relax,while doing the whole support locally owned businesses then stop here maybe bring something to read they have great atmosphere and very home away from home feel with a swing wicker chair or loveseat, recliner etc you will not regret finding this gem that's hiding right on the south side barely anybody knows...
