This is a small business with limited operating hours (mainly weekends) and staff so do not expect to visit on a normal work lunch break for some fast food. My order took about 20 mins to prepare but food was hot and fresh.

I went on a Sunday after church service and ordered the Catfish with yams and cabbage as my sides. The catfish was fried to perfection, the yams had the perfect touch of sweetness, the fried cabbage was delicious blend with peppers and carrots (a bit salty but delicious) and came with several small hushpuppies that are the best fresh out of the oil. I enjoyed the meal and went back for a 2nd visit a few weeks later to test the consistancy of the cooks. My 2nd visit was very similar to my first experience with only feedback being fried cabbage being a bit salty.

There is a sign that warns you that the food is cooked to order. However, 45-50 minutes for 4 pc fried chicken is NEVER worth it, especially when there was only 2 orders ahead of you. I waited 15-20 min in the establishment and then went to my car to wait. I noticed 5 people ordered behind me, and all 5 received their orders and left not including the 2 ahead of me who also received their orders. I came in to check on my order when I was advised that they had to thaw the chicken for a while before cooking it. And I still didn’t receive my food for another 10 minutes. It would’ve been nice to have known this before paying for my food or even informing me when YOU knew you had to thaw the meat out. I would’ve gladly gone elsewhere. I knew I should’ve left when I pulled up and 4-5 officers was there for a dispute this establishment had going on with the workers. But, NEVER again! The communication, price and service is not worth it. Food isn’t bad, but definitely isn’t worth me spending more...

Yes I wanted to try this location out cause my mom was telling me to go try them. We'll I went to try them out for the first time and it wasn't bad but okay. I had ordered the oxtail dinner with two sides. (Oxtails, collard greens and yams. (Rice come with the oxtails). Plus I ordered the soul leg dinner and it come with three sides. ( soul leg, collard greens, cabbage and yams). Just beware the collard green are mixed greens not all collard greens. I grab two CPC teas. ( Strawberry and blackberry tea) Blackberry tea was better then the strawberry to me. I ordered all that and it came to 81.74. I was very happy that the food was not salty and sugary but they are very pricey. But I notice it didn't have with any roll or cornbread. When I go to Lisa soul food off red bird they at least give you cornbread or roll, cake and drink with no extra charge with your meal. I might go back not sure.
