I have been putting off coming here due to the prices. I understand that when you're on the water in the Detroit Lakes area you can charge what you want for food and people will pay it. After reluctantly paying $11 for one of the worst hamburgers of my life at another establishment across the lake I figured why not give this place a shot. My meal was fantastic. The presentation was nice and the Kickin Chicken sandwich that I ordered was just magical. The fresh cut fries were delicious. They put the effort into the food they serve that justifies the price. I will say that the service was a bit slow (there were only about a dozen patrons at the time) but once the food came, I forgot all about it. It made me wonder how fast the food comes out when it's busy. I will find out another time, I will be back. Edit: I hadn't been here in a while, upon my return, they had changed the fries. They are no longer the fresh cut fries pictured. They now use some weird, really thick spiral cut fries. They were not good. It was like taking a bite out of a baked potato. My chicken sandwich was good but for as good as it was the fries were equally bad. I had to change my rating. It was a meh meal this time.

Just moved up here from the cities decided to give this place a try came on a Friday during happy hour came to the wrong door but was let in anyway had the scotch eggs and it was amazing. BTW the view to the lake while u sit at the bar this place is doing things right they have a great bloody mary, short cocktail list... wish there were a few more unique to the restaurant but the ones we had were perfect. Burger was excellent I love that you have so many in house sauces that's how it's supposed to be and a unique salad list my husband and I named this our new spot and would love to come try everything!!! TY HUB 41 i can see the passion in the food keep it going.

First time hub. I had the patty melt and fries. I thought it was good, although the burger wasn't quite enough for me. It did have a wonderful rye bread , which is important. My wife had a bacon cheese burger. She liked it, same though she thought hers was a little under done also. Instead of fries, she got the beer cheese soup. There was a up charge. She thought the soup was good. It seems to have more chicken broth then a lot of the beer cheese soup she's had in the past. It wasn't overly rich. We thought the meal was good, and we try it again in the future. Add bonus they had Castle Danger Cream Ale. Love the beer.

My friend and I walked in. It was extremely loud. There was no seating available inside right away. A table opened up shortly after being told there was a wait. We waited to sit down while they cleaned the table. I still had to wipe food off the table after the lady wiped it down (without moving the items in the middle of the table). Took a while to get menus. Got our waters fairly quickly but waited another 20 minutes for staff to come back around to take our orders. Before placing my order, I asked what their burger sauce was. After the explanation I said, oh, okay, that's ok, just no onion please. Took 10-15minutes for our food to come, not so bad. Had to ask for ketchup. Ended up not needing it when I started to eat the fries. The fries tasted amazing!! I cut my burger in half, took a bite and realized they didn't put the burger sauce on it. I said whatever and just kept eating it. While eating it I started to get grossed out! The bun was so full of grease that it over powered the whole burger! So disgusting! My mouth was coated with grease. They need to drain more before placing on the bun. I asked my friend if his was the same way and he nodded. I didn't eat the offer half of my burger or fries because I was full and I didn't think my stomach could have handled any more grease anyway. My friend ate all of his meal but he ended up with food poisoning!!! It ruined our WeFest experience because now he didn't feel well and missed half the show. It took 25 minutes for them to pick up my friends card so we could pay and leave to go to WeFest. Overall, burgers were overpoweringly greasy, staff inattentive; grabbing themselves drinks in the middle of a peak time, chit chatting with customers across the restaurant from where they were stationed, not being prompt, only checked in once. Waitresses were dull, boring, not enthusiastic about...

Food was pretty good and the drinks were good too. I probably wouldn't order what I had again though. The biggest thing was the service. It was kind of a roller coaster that went from good to meh to good to meh again. Had a waitress greet us and we got seated right away. Once seated we got our menus and they switched people. We needed a bit of time to decide so they went away and left us to decide. We decided and put our menus together, were talking, on our phones, etc. All signs of being ready to order. After what felt like forever she finally came to take our order. Got our drink right away and not too long after we got our food. We were checked on about 5 times in 15 min on how our food and drinks were then not talked to again. Which included a long while waiting to get the stuff paid for and boxes. Overall a pretty okay experience with its ups and downs. Would I go again? Probably joining someone that plans on going but not by my own choice. Definitely wouldn't recommend against but could use some improvements. Noting also right now is not prime season as it's fall not summer on the...
