We have been coming here for 10yrs. Always loved this place until tonight. We waited for an hour !!!!! For our food, the people to our left sat down after us and were served before us with their meals. No apology from the the manager when we complained, instead she stated its only been an hour. Really???Food came out cold and absolutely awful!!! Grandkids ordered mac n cheese, grilled cheese, Daughter ordered a salad. We also ordered a burger colder than ice along with the fries!!! Our beers were incorrect when served. I am so disgusted by the food & service we received! When i confronted the manager she wanted to throw me out for explaining calmly how long we'd been waiting. She obviously cannot take critisism. I was NOT screaming or yelling or swearing. To end our ordeal. Stopped and used the women's bathroom as we left and there was human feces smeared all over the toilet tank!!! Seriously, can't believe how far this place has fallen. You definitely need a new manager, the one you have now is to young and experienced!!! This place went to 5 stars to 0 stars as far as we're concerned. We won't be back!! Zorbas will be our main stop...

First timer yesterday 4/30. Went to the bar asking if they had any drink specials and Kurtis the bar tender was snarky in replying with “everything’s special”. Time and place to be a dry humored comedian, when a customer is legit asking if they have drink specials might not be one of them. Decided I didn’t wanna be around that kinda energy and grabbed a tall table top. My friend met me, we had great service with Indy until we headed out mid way so my friend could smoke. Indy got in security mode and rushed us asking where we were going folks. I said he’s gonna go smoke is that ok. lol we were planning to let him know but hadn’t seen him is all. I guess he may have thought we were gonna dine and dash. Before summer comes management might wanna get “went for a smoke” signs so that doesn’t occur again especially before it’s a super busy night. Otherwise, the flights were yummy, so was that breeeze drink! Yummo! A little on the pricier side for a flight because they charge $3.25 each instead of like $10 for the 4. Wasn’t much of a discount when we can get a pitcher elsewhere for $12. Just...

November 2023: The bread pudding is absolutely delicious. Served hot with walnuts in the bread pudding and topped with whipped cream and blueberries. Best dessert option for sure.

October 2023 updated review: The Harvest Apple Salad is a perfect fall lunch. Mixed greens, pecans, dried apple slices, pecans, and red onion with a vinaigrette dressing were delicious 😋 Our server, James, was excellent 👌 Love coming here for the food, atmosphere, and genuine pleasant people.

The review about clam chowder having bacon in it is an unfair 1 star as clam chowder ingredients include salt pork or bacon on the recipes so it is not Lakesides service or error to apply a 1 star review. Chili is listed on the menu, too, but doesn't break it down to every bean in it. Detroit Lakes is a diverse area with many options.
