Hopefully this review will serve as a training and learning opportunity for the employees at this location. Today I visited this particular, Checkers, I used the drive-through to place my order. I ordered a big Buford sandwich, and I ordered loaded fries. Upon reaching the takeout window I was rudely greeted by a very heavyset young man, who wore earrings, curly hair, hat with a lighter skin in complexion.
Contact with this particular young man was terrible to say the least. He was rude continued to cut me off in my attempt to give him my rewards number. The young man asked to see my phone to copy the rewards number, directly from my phone's screen. As the takeout window was closing I heard Devon say "this n*gga".
I picked up the vibe that I would not get help even if I complained to management (Four and Patrice) so I'm taking this time to write this review in the hopes that the work culture changes and PAYING CUSTOMERS are not being verbally accosted with racial slurs.
This overall experience was disgusting and to be treated this way by my own people my own community makes me weep internally.

Read moreOn the evening of 5/26/21 I went through Checkers drive thru on West Grand River Ave near Southfield Fwy in Detroit, MI. I received some the worst Custer Service. I ordered 2 Big Buford (just the sandwich), a medium fries, the 2 for $3 Checker Burger and made it a combo. The young lady taking my order asked me were the Big Buford's sandwiches only? I said yes. She asked me what kind of drink do I want for my Checker Burger combo? I said lemonade. The cashier tells me to pull around. I did. When I get to the window the gentleman tells me my total is $8 and some change. I'm like no way. I repeat my order. The gentleman tells me they only rang me up for 2 Big Bufords, medium fries and a lemonade. Then he asks me to get out of line go back through the drive through and place my order again. Absolutely not. So he then tells me per the manager they cannot do add ons. Mind you this is not the first time this location has messed up my order. I never received an apology. The shoulder shrugs I received was like an oh well, and. At this point I WILL NOT SUPPORT THAT CHECKERS AGAIN....

The staff is usually courteous, but after waiting in the drive-thru for 17 minutes to order a chocolate shake and trying to redeem my rewards points from the app of a 10% discount, I'm told by the cashier at the window that they can't control the app and she can't get the 10% to show up although she held my phone in her hand, and saw the code number from their App(?). When I asked for a manager she said she was the manager. It's pretty sad if the manager can't override the register for 10% discount when you're looking right at the Checkers App and it plainly shows that I'm eligible for the 10% off. I ended up pulling over, ordering it online, having to get back in the drive-thru line, and was able to get the discount. That's waaaaay too much energy put in to trying to buy a chocolate shake.
