Club Caribbean — Restaurant in Detroit

Shout out to the Chef! 👨🏿‍🍳 First time I had the Jerk Chicken, Rice and Cabbage a month ago made me try to go back the next day for lunch. To make sure it wasn’t a fluke lol I tried the Jerk Chicken, Rice and Cabbage again and this time I bought a Ox Tail dinner this Saturday 9/20 too and Chef did his big one again. Ox Tails falling off the bone!! You know the food good when you’re not use to the spice but you can’t stop eating though 😂. My only take away, and I get it, some people try to pull fast ones, but don’t bully me out $30 to make me buy a wrist band when I came back to show you my food ticket in good faith to let you know I’m not partying but it’s several people ahead of me and I didn’t even walk to the bar. I haven’t been bullied by a girl since elementary school on the playground Lol We needed her when Reggie was getting yelled at for asking a car politely to please just pull up so guests can get in the parking lot who was blocking the driveway. I have been passing by the place for many years. I recently moved within walking distance and I have been going once a week for the past week. Three times I’ve sat at the bar and twice I’ve gone for lunch on the restaurant side. the food here is amazing. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. As a matter of fact, on my second visit, the bartender Joan stopped what she was doing and yelled “Welcome Back Darling” as she was helping someone else when I walked in. She could have waited til she was done with them to greet me but the fact that she stopped to acknowledge me, even tho I had only been there one time before, made me feel very special. This place is unprofessional. They have alcoholics that disrespect the patrons who spend money there. They are a Caribbean club, but do not accept their African ancestry and will insult the patrons in front of everyone to proof a point. This establishment are discrimatory against African Americans and Africans which are their ancestor. The club was empty, and the DJ was not playing authentic Carribbean music or Jamican authentic for that matter. The men follow behind the women out the soir just to dispute about their insecurities and try to physical fight you.
