Coney Time — Restaurant in Detroit

This is one of my favorite restaurants to purchase food. The exterior of the location is well maintained, always clean and liter-free. The interior of the business is clean and well maintained as well with friendly, polite service. They have parking lots on both sides of the building so there's lots of free parking space. However, since COVID, they have not allowed dine-in service, only carry out presently. They are open 24 hours, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is excellent, portion sizes are great, and they have a wide variety of dishes to choose. For Breakfast you can choose from the "Breakfast Specials" menu (served at discounted price from 7a.m-11a.m.) such as Three Large Pancakes Breakfast with eggs & choice of meat, bacon, sausage, or ham, or you can get the "Grand Slam" which consist of all of the above mentioned plus hash brown or grits and choice of pancakes or toast. They also serve a large variety of Omelettes; Tony's Omelette, Viper Omelette, Western Omelette , Corn Beef Omelette, or my favorite the Vegetarian Omelette packed full of mushrooms, green peppers, onions, and tomatoes, cheese, as well many more kinds of Omelettes. Lunch you can get burgers( such as Texas Burger , Turkey Burger, or Bacon Dbl Cheeseburger to name a few. Or sandwiches ( Reuben Daddy or Philly Steak & Swiss, or Catfish Sandwich or Club sandwich and many many more. Dinner you could get Chicken Breast Dinner or Shrimp Dinner, Gyro Dinner or Steak & Jumbo Shrimp Dinner along with a Greek Salad, Chef's Salad, Tuna Salad or Tossed Salad. Also they carry a variety of desserts such as cakes, cheese cakes, Banana Pudding, etc. Lastly, check out their milkshakes, my favorite being Chocolate . . .sooooo good. Five...

I ordered a corned beef sandwich and fries on my way to work. I arrived at work to see they gave me a corned beef egg roll. I couldn’t leave work at that time to take it back so I took a picture. I called back multiple time but couldn’t get through because they were busy. On my way to work today I stopped up there to see if I could get my money back, correct sandwich or even the difference in the money I paid for the sandwich. I spoke with George (owner) that let me know they could do nothing about it. ‘I should’ve left work to bring it back’. There were other customers in line waiting to get their orders correct as well. I have never ordered from any restaurant that messed up my order and they wouldn’t do the necessary to correct it. I will never order...

The experience started off disappointingly, as I was denied entry to the dining room despite a large banner outside stating it was open. My order also had a few issues: I received both the wrong food and drink. (Which WAS corrected after I informed the staff) Additionally, the atmosphere inside was quite loud, with some customers speaking on their speakerphones, which was a bit off-putting.

The front staff seemed disengaged, and I had to repeat myself a few times, likely due to the thick bulletproof glass covering the counter. However, the food was a highlight— Two meals and both were excellent.
