I don't often write bad reviews but this restaurant needs further improvement. I was very disappointed following my first visit on Feb 24 2024. I had heard a lot of hype over this restaurant unfortunately The food didnt meet expectations. The service was good but what I ordered simply didn't taste good. It was PAPPARDELLE TRE BOCONI, homemade pasta with bacon, peas, meatballs. I added eggplant to the dish as that had it in another similar dish with dried pasta. Too many ingredients combined to achieve too many different flavors. The homemade ribbon noodles were ginormous and were over cooked and over powered the meal. They were difficult to eat in one bite and the pasta tasted lemony with all the ingredients together. The meatballs were the biggest disappointment. They tasted like veal but the finishing taste and spices really didn't work together. My wife took one bite of the meatballs and didn't care for them as well. I was not aware at first but this is an Italian Restaurant combined with a Mexican restaurant (El Borzon). It's very classy but the food just didn't fit. Before they served the food we had chips and salsa. It didn't make sense for the Italian meal. Didn't care for the taste of the chips or salsa either. Serve them hot. Then they finally brought out bread (it is basic sliced Italian bread) and an herb butter. Nothing impressive, should have been hot. For what you pay for pasta (almost $35.00), this was not worth it. It was only Pasta, nothing else included. Throw a soup or salad with the meaI. Don't make it ala carte. I didn't like that my only soup choice was Cactus soup at an Italian restaurant that I needed to pay extra for. Another thing, fix the parking situation. I saw many ladies in heels walking across a damaged concrete alley to enter. Pave the alley. I hope my next...

Our experience was absolutely horrible. First & last time coming here. We assumed bc of the pictures we’d be in this cute room with a bunch of lights to match the aesthetic of the night but no. We were right by the front door it was so cold the room we were in was so dark & dull. The food was ok but you can get it at ANY Italian restaurant. The service was absolutely HORRIBLE. Even the tables around us were talking about it. It took about 15-20 minutes for a server to come up to us when we sat down. We got our apps before our drinks. We ended up getting our drinks maybe 5 minutes before our entree came out. My espresso martini was disgusting. The glass was also completely cracked. The server said he’d be right back with bread for our meal & never came. We didn’t even get bread when I told the manager. The server had an attitude when we asked for 3 separate checks (there was only 3 of us) then proceeded to say “I can do it but it’s going to take me a really long time” we asked for boxes, sat there for 15 minutes & I had to ask the manager for them. The manager did offer to do “something” for us but at that point we were so ready to get out of there. We will never be back nor will we ever recommend this place to anyone. We are all in the service industry downtown & never had an...

There were maybe 4 occupied tables and we were there for two hours, received our meals at the tail end of the two hours and one of us never received our meal. When they first served us water there was something floating around in several of the cups.

Most notably, when the entrees came out everyone at our table finished their meals and they still hadn’t brought out my boyfriend’s food. We were there for two hours and had to leave due to a drinks reservation and who I believe is the manager said “oh I’ll take his meal off bill” when we said we had to leave as if was doing us a favor when it seemed pretty clear the meal wasn’t coming out. By the time we left it had been an hour since we ordered entrees.

The waiter was very young and inattentive to us but seemed well focused on another table as if he knew them. We asked for several things he simply never brought which us no big deal but even as he was brining our entrees I asked for boxes and the check because we were already on a time crunch and he never brought boxes or the check.

Last but not least, my cheese tortellini was served literally drowning in sauce on a plate. It literally looked like soup on a plate. Super disappointing experience for my friend’s birthday but at least the...

This is a really sharp restaurant where Italian bistro meets urban Mexican food. It is very lively and the food is either Italian or Mexican. The wait staff are friendly, professional and quick. In my dining experience it was a Family Style Four Mexican dinner which is $35 Per person. First was an appetizer of Chorizo con Queso Fundido. This was truly delicious with a generous portion of chorizo and just the right amount of melted cheese. Next was the main course that included Mole Poblano con Pollo. The mole sauce has chocolate in it and is slightly sweet but savory. The chicken was juicy and tender with great flavor. The Enchiladas with green sauce was different but tasty with slight heat. My favorite was the Camarones al Mojo de Ajo. Simply large shrimp with garlic, olive oil, butter and rice. The finish was a homemade Caramel Custard Flan. It's a small piece by standards but very flavorful. There is a top shelf bar that has great Sangrias and a nice array of Mexican beer. It's a bit pricey with a white wine sangria clocking in at $15 a glass, but the taste is stellar. All in all I highly recommend this delightful restaurant. It's perfect for small family celebrations or a nice dinner date.

This is a very unique restaurant—they have a mix of Mexican and Italian food on their menu so we weren’t quite sure what to expect. We made a reservation for 7pm and we were literally the only table in there for the entirety of our visit. The food was okay, I had linguine with clams and I found it overly oily and not very well seasoned. The Caesar salad didn’t taste like a Caesar salad, it almost tasted like it had a balsamic dressing. The chips and salsa they gave us were great, and they were kind enough to give us a complimentary (and delicious) flan since we were celebrating our anniversary. I’m not sure we’d come back here, but it was a good experience!

Chose La Noria since it is right next to El Barzon, and I think they are a sister restaurant since they have some of the same dishes, and cocktails. What sets La Noria apart is the large open and bricked interior! It made us feel like we were on a patio!! Booths are very comfortable. It was the first day for our server and she did great! All the staff at La Noria was very nice, professional, courteous, and friendly. You can't ask for more. Protip: Get the Calamari La Noria (Calamari with tentacles, zucchini, arugula, and balsamic) what a unique dish, with with huge flavor and texture!!
